OK Python, 3 large hardpoints... ?

Presently I have 3 x 3C Gimballed beams.

But

Perhaps Bursts or perhaps Pulses?

Gotta be gimballed ;)

Anyone with good advice, some combo's or perhaps even a turret on the bottom?

I'm going with mines on the class 2's to see how they work for a bit.

Power etc all A rated :)

I am using 2x turreted large beams and 1x gimballed large multicannon and I am happy with it. Two turreted beams are on top.

I load the one large hard-point on the bottom of my Python with fixed-weapons.

Triple large burst laser works wonders against modules close up,
as backup missiles are a choice, also beams or mcs.
Against smaller ships 2 c2 frags may yield good results too,
after all the python is quite fast.

I have the exact set-up as above: 3 large burst lasers (modded for efficiency) with two racks of seeking missiles on the smaller hardpoints (modded with high capacity upgrades).

The lasers kill shields (efficiently), and then i blast the outer modules with missiles, then when all weapons are gone on the target and they run i continue with the missile barrage, hardly anyone gets away.

Two modified shield boosters, one chaff and one heat sink on the utility mounts: this is my usual ship for conflict zones!

I'm a fan of 3 gimbaled pulse and 2 missile racks. Usually like multi-cannons in place of missiles, but right now the turret issue is annoying.

After fondly remembering my 6xMC combat ASP I decided to install three large and two medium multicannons on my python.
I am never going back, it's so much fun (and I have more energy for shields and thrusters).

I'm running a large beam on the bottom, 2 large MC in the top and 2 burst in the mediums. Its very versatile though, as long as you don't overheat or drain your cap to fast you can mount all sorts of fun stuff. I regularly swap them out, except for the large MC's, I love those things.

If power ever becomes a concern I'll switch out the beam and burst for the much more efficient pulse lasers, but I put a nice lightweight/lower power draw mod on my prismatic shield so I have power to spare. Admittedly I'm using the beams and burst partly because of cosmetic reasons, they are just more fun to use than pulse. If I was going all out though, I'd be using pulse and MC's, generally I think that is the best loadout, lots of shield stripping and hull damage with power to spare for boosters and banks. Seekers for hull damage are nice too, but I feel like I end up having to rearm much more frequently than I do with MC's, so its a tradeoff

3 Large Multicannons
2 Seeker Missiles

Works great, especially for a mission ship where you only need to fight off a few ships between stations.

Meet Chaff Screwyouraimbots, Mr. Screwyouraimbots is my best friend .-.

I love that argument, unless the pilot isn't an idiot and clears his target. Then his "useless" gimbaled weapons becomes a fixed weapon just like everyone else. If the pilot can't aim with a fixed weapon.... well then that's another problem.

Since 2.1, my favorite loadout so far has been:
2 class 3 burst laser turrets
2 class 2 seeker missile launchers
1 class 3 fixed pulse laser.

I wouldn't put a turret on the underside, as the roll rate is fine - it's the pitch that sucks.

If more people know how to de-target the world will be a better place.
