Current SEPP CG Details

And it isn't even just a matter of contributors. They're getting WAY more on a per-capita basis. What the hell are we doing wrong?

I suspect the per ton per contributor is about the same when you look at actual contributors. Nearly half of SEPPs contributors merely signed up, they've yet to turn anything in (I vaulted to top 60% by turning in a single BP a bit ago). When I turned in the rest I was in the top 25%. So only 100 or so folks are actually actively hunting BPs.

So it's not a strategy or tactics problem, it's an organizational and motivational problem. Dumping 10T/hour is quite doable (may take 3 hours to find a T6/7 and snag 30T off of it). 400 people * 10 hours * 10T is 40K tons. Instead it's 100 people * 10 hours (total play time) * 10T/hour or 10K tons. Rough numbers but they're probably close.

So if you want to catch EG the solution isn't to find the mystery trick to increase the ton/hour rate, it's to motivate more people to actually get out there.

I suspect a lot of folks mistakenly assumed it requires a group and massive coordination. It's actually quite simple to do solo with semi-decent shields, some lasers, hatch breakers and collectors.

From what I've been hearing, the problem is communication with those members. And yes, it sounds like solo is the way to go, once you know the right tactic to use. Problem is, people aren't getting the right message.

peanuts

Seriously. A single T6/Keelback is ~50t.

edit: also wings should have a much easier time draining and collecting targets without having them blow up in the process (or at all - you can let them jump afterwards)

I first thought shield less traders would be nice targets for me. But those blue brother amateurs keep blowing them up before I get to empty them entirely even though the cargo they want is already spilling all over the place (only once have I seen a pirate pick up a single floating container). Shielded targets at least survive long enough for the process and I'm free to do as I please while they defend themselves against wannabe NPC pirates.

Another tip: use an A grade cargo scanner, regardless of whether you can power it or not. Make it turn off your weapon modules (and more if required) when active and turn it off upon engaging (weapons go online without delay - that way you can also easily have both on the same fire group). Scanning from a distance asap and keeping it up without being forced to give chase is essential.

You humans are all power mad I tells ye.
I can't wait for the inevitable U-turn which always seems to come with humans who attain power.

It's already here. Else none of this would happen.

A mere 6T hour is sufficient to win if all of SEPP members pull together. Get on Discord. We will help you! :)

Can we stop with the negativity towards explorers who, for very legitimate reasons, do not and frequently can not participate in a meaningful way. Thanks.

I hope you are not perceiving our little chat about power as negativity towards explorers (more so towards positions of power). I am also here because it hits closest to home. Otherwise I'd be gaining more system permits and grade 5 FSDs instead.

Russians always get what they want.it is easier to stop a tsunami, than Russian, coming to the desired goal

that is why the EGP is so successful

I'm just negative towards humans in general.
As a banana, I have good reason to as well.
:)

The power sharing thing is something that you will need to have a think about or it could all collapse very, very quickly.
Just saying.

I heard they can be distracted by Vodka.

If you're perhaps referring to what I said previously, I too am an explorer and have the same issues with taking part in stuff in the bubble, other than just personally not finding much of it to be too compelling a lot of the time.

What I was referring to is the negativity toward SEPP from some others on the forums, not all explorers. It was a little disheartening. There are plenty of SEPP members or followers who are explorers.

For those following along with Elite: Lost Soul as the Dangerous Games continue, we're up to chapter 13. Now's a good time to catch up if you haven't already ;) [/plug]
