I find this thread funny. And te response of people, actually acting in a mature manner, makes me proud of this community. A simillar thread in...
I hope Elite Dangerous steals Star Citizens death of a spaceman feature in retaliation.

So there's some suggestion knocking around that SC have pinched some idea from ED?? No idea what this is about but I sincerely hope this is true. They are in desperate need of some good ideas. Perhaps they can start with realistic timeframes.
By the way that article was as painful as it was the first time I read it. If your intention was to punish me you have succeeded.

P.S. Don't forget many of you will be gouged for an extra 5 bucks for the privilege of playing this 'finished product'.
He's on about the 5 bucks "pass" to allow you to participate in the alpha dogfighting if you don't already have an account which gives you alpha access - those slots have "ran out" but they are squeezing more cash out of us to allow you to participate in it.
I fully expect the "Hey it's alpha" comment/argument to be touted a lot.
And to the mods: In my opinion, you should totally lock this thread permanently, because it seems to be infested with trolling.
As said before the alpha slots packages have a limit around 180k from what i remember. The extra 5 dollars is for infrastructure and extra revenue. Which is pretty awesome compared to Elite's 150 dollar package that you need to get to play the earlier alpha releases.
Ah, I see...thanks.
Not really, because here you get to play Alpha only (essentially, you're an alpha-tester for them) for $5, in Elite you get the whole game + Alpha.
Elite is 5 dollars for the whole game + alpha!?!?!![]()

Elite: Dangerous is £100 (c.$160?) for Game, expansion pass and Premium Beta.
Post 180k alpha slot runout :
Star Citizen release package = 30 dollars.

Before the alpha slots ran out once you had an alpha game package you could take part of all alphas. Now each module up to the BETA will cost 5 dollars. 3 Modules are expected so that should be around 15 dollars on top of BETA if you want to play all. Resulting in 55 dollars.
And how do the 'Test Pilot' Passes fit in?
