If human occupied space is attacked by an alien entity will an alliance be formed space wide or just small pockets of resistence to survive as best they can.

In any event the LRDF will be expecting the worst scenario and are slowly grinding up operations to be ready for any emergency from defending to logistics and even to attack when needed.

All Volonteers are welcome to join up and participate in this venture and to defend humanity.

The LRDF now has a base to organize and start creating groups for in game roles be itMiner/Trader/Explorer/Fighter/Recon/Logistics all mature player's are welcome to visit the Last Resort - Defense Force site for any information to sign up or just have a chat.

The LRDF will be engaged in any upcoming alien interactions supporting humanity and if needed be the first to act, The Last Resort will be present.

There are many forces like us. Some stand behind the barrier to rebuild, others stand in between the barrier and whatever is attacking. We differ, because we ARE that barrier.

We will be both the last line of defense, and the first line of rebuilding in the event of an attack.

We do not affiliate with personal or political agendas. We, as a group, do not boost or deter any particular developments for Minor or Major Factions. In fact, we do not exist until we are needed.

Our members are both numerous, and rare. We exist, but you will not see us unless we have reason to be found.

We fight only for one cause...

Excellent choices CMDR. As above, guaging interest for now, but will definitely give you a shout if I start proceedings.

Attitudes like that have lost more wars than poor preparation ever will.
(And no offence but if I had a penny for everytime I heard THAT joke, I'd just buy the Empire and Federation outright and have them do my bidding...)

What you also need is a contingency plan, i reckon you need three fleets to work. primary being your defence fleet so a flotilla built around a core of heavies vette's and cutters ( the battleships) then backed up by fast moving mediums so clippers and fas (cruiser sqn) then a roving screen of fast lights vipers/icourier/ vulture (destroyer/frigate screen). Secondary is your fleet auxiliary so aspx type 6 ect to bring in fuel limpets/ supplies and orca yes a orca so we can evac civilians to safe havens. Third fleet being a combat recon fleet dbx mainly doing route clearance and finding safe zones if we need to bug out

As a mercenary I offer my growing fleet to the highest bidder, for whatever purposes. Be it Feds,Empire, or the Alliance.

However in the event of a first contact with an outside force, and that contact becomes violent.
Humanity becomes my highest bidder.

You can count on me should the need arise, I Have been building a Cutter for exactly this type of thing. My very own Paladin class, heavy shields and resistances as well as a bit of healing for allies.

Preliminary Preperations shall begin shortly. Starting first, with a to-do list followed by a priorities list. I will be enlisting everyones help to do this, this is not a one-CMDR operation after all

Wholeheartedly agree with you. I have a rough idea for what I'd like to do however before making any decisions I would certainly need to establish what resources I have available first.
Should I take your statement as interest in joining? I could certainly use someone with a strategic mind like yourself.

If possible it will certainly become a point of interest to us. Ideally, I'd like to have a few combat ready ships stored there but without a ship delivery system that will prove difficult. (Impossible without a Shipyard, having never visited it myself, it jumped and got lost before I had the chance)
