Well after some time i back to give some of my finding in
so in the line from 0,0 in the 125-145 line theese are my finds
firs of all this wreck maybe some wery smart pepole coud guess what kind of weapon did this cause this is no human made destruction
theese condors were close by to each other facing the same direction my theory is that they were on patroll or escorting something when they went down
after theese the direction i headed had rock formatis (mitght be random) that wer put up like a road or something
(sorry no pic fo this)
lastly there were multiple occasions when i got a ship signal in my srv from behind me when i looked back cause of paranoia
i continue tomorrow or if i get a companion/help

There's really no point in asking, it's like trying to get a straight answer from Wonko the Sane.
I've had it happen to me on Merope 2A as well as 5c, I think it is caused by the planets being one giant instance and one of the Capital Ships on the planet being generated by another player being near it
There's been talk but nobody has done it. About time for you to swoop in here and solve this thing!

Some random brainfarts I thought I would just throw out there, in case they trigger some further thoughts for someone else:
It's all a bit of a mishmash of disjointed thinking, I accept, but as I said, hopefully if might serve as food for thought for others to develop further.

- I'm still curious as to the repetition of the three arcs from the top right quadrant of the 'basketball' in the right hand panel of the image. As others have pointed out, it doesn't quite fit as an overlay, despite looking obviously similar; is there any way that the right hand panel can be spectrogrammed differently to the centre section, or decoded in some way differently so as to make it fit? I'm not great with Audacity so the limit of my knowledge was to use normal rather than log scale, but that didn't seem to help.
- Indeed, thinking wider for a moment, is there anything to suggest the left and right panels should be rendered differently to the centre section? By which I mean using different scales, frequencies, visualisation methods, etc.
- FD would know that due to the imprecision inherent in the means of transmitting the image that we would not be able to take precise measurements and angles from it. In-game, the logic would be that (if alien) that the author of the message wouldn't likely be aware of how humans measure those things. So it's likely that what we are looking for here is relationships and geometry, rather than precise measurements of angles, distances, etc.
- The suggestion from the newsletter is that this may be a 'key'. Whilst a key can be to unlock a door, it can also, of course, be the key to abbreviations or annotations on diagrams, map markings etc. Could it be that we are looking not for a 'lock' to open with this data, but for another message entirely, which we need to use these markings as the key/primer to interpret?
- Putting all that together, my suggestion is the author of the message giving us distances to use for navigation, but using the geometry of the planet in order to give a frame of reference. By which I mean -|- equals a distance equivalent to one quarter of the circumference of Merope 5C, |-- equals one third that distance, and --| equals the radius of the planet. I suggest these refer to Merope 5C due to the pointing behaviours of the probe. Self-criticism - what does the top right quadrant equate to given that interpretation; furthermore, where is the message which directs us how to apply those distances?
- As others have observed, there is a lot of background noise in the images, but if you look at the animated GIF compiling all the recordings so far, it's clear this noise is part of the 'message' rather than ship sounds, ambience or suchlike.

I am but im no audio expert unfortunaely, could you ellaborate?
I suspect Gypsy is further breaking down the audio, either to find additional messages/images or to find other such answers about the audio itself.
If it helps the barrel distortion on the grid does suggest a sphere with the radius of Merope 5C (1,423km), assuming the circle has radius 1,000km. To get the render on the left I used a camera with 90 degree FOV from 0,0 given there is a 90 degree arc on the top right of the image. The bounds of the camera are shown as a black dashed square.
