Ok here's my 2 cents.

From Merope's wikipedia page

"Surrounding Merope is the Merope Nebula. Part of the nebula that the Pleiades Cluster is currently passing through, it appears brightest around Merope and is listed in the Index Catalogue as number IC 349."


349, the first three numbers of the RGB code for the shade of green (34,97,49).


Searching for IC 749 on google reveals it to be a galaxy in the Ursa Major constellion. This did not lead to any significant leads though.

Cut to about an hour ago, I was moping around on Merope 5C when I reset all my filters on the Navigation panel and lo and behold there was a System exactly 7.49Ly away from Merope HR 1172. I immediately went there to discover it has 2 stars and quite a few landable planets. One of which is designated A 1

As someone else pointed out above in Hex the colour is #226131 but in ASCII you get " A 1, could it be 2 stars, Star A, Planet 1?

What do you think Commanders?

Why didn't you just say barnacles or barnacle spikes? Would have saved some confusion.

Is anyone on this thread interested in a step by step of how to view the UP sound image? Some people seemed to think it was too difficult, and I wouldn't mind showing how it's done if there's enough interest. Also, I can show you how to encode an image in a sound.

Lol no need to do that, we all have to start learning from somewhere, i see what you was getting at though if you wasn't aware of barnacles having the organic structure wording before.

Contact tab reported it as organic outcrop. Never seen this before and it was quite close to the barnacle at -24,-156.

SpeedMATS can you confirm that this was same for you, or are you 100% sure about what you saw?

Did you try scan the up with silent running to see if it still does that back? i would like to know if it is scanning us.

Wait do you mean no result as in the up still outputs the same or it does nothing?
