Reasons -

1: found around sol in federation space in convoys.
2: separation for 2 outer radial lines is about 27 degrees. earths axial tilt is 24.5 at most. I'm willing to believe the 27 on the image. isn't completely accurate.
3: 4 images around the circle. 3 on their own. and one next to a semi circle. Earth has 3 stations and a 4th around Luna.

Like i say. this is complete speculation and i'll be searching around earth/Sol for any signs of free floaters.

Hi again,

I'm applying a slight bit of bias to my own theory here but I think this is worth following up.

In and around earth are a large number of USS - Convoy dispersal signals threat 3. this was after about 3 hours of searching last night.

I'm hoping to find a threat 4 with a UP and military transport after some more searching tonight.

Secondly, I bumped into a few medical transports. these seem to give some of the same dialogue as military transports. specifically i read the "cargo secure... I guess" dialogue.
Just thought i'd point this out as it may call into question what level of information some people can divulge in the cryptic messages Military transports send out.
Obviously "NHE-07" (non human entity) is a clear reference to the UP. but I'd say be careful about anything else non specific you read.

Would really like to hear what anyone else thinks on this? does it seem like i'm chasing circles?

So it is the yellow/sandy bit that's the important bit. always the first place i look :)

tinfoil incoming....unless it's on purpose as the coordinates in the image (whatever they are) actually stuffed up and pointed at the wrong place.
Or on the other side of things the coordinates in the image are pointing at a place on the wrong side of the planet...

Things like this make me feel so strongly two ways.

The first is that this is probably important and it is super cool that something like this has happened on 5c.

The second is that ED is a huge game and mistakes like this are bound to happen so it could just as easily be nothing xD

It´s against my theory that "they" know the same coordinate system as we do. But maybe Michael Brookes can clearify (pretty please) that the "wrong" coordinates on the planets will not keep us away from solving the puzzle?

EDIT: I'm at least making a start.

It's a shame I can't take the anti-corrosive cargo racks with me but the rarity of Modular Terminals means I haven't even been able to get to Qwent yet :(

very much so, a huge difference in quality of immersion with this over the DK2. a must if peeps have never tried it.

I was in the Elephants Trunk Sector looking for barnacles a few weeks ago and didn't find anything though its possible if true they hadn't been activated in the game yet, or there is only a few systems they can be found in.

I would also recommend checking the other nearby nebula's since as the Unknown Probe's name suggests they are probes and probes tend to look for something so its possible they could be scouting other nebula's for whatever it is they are looking for
