Look, patch notes have one very simple goal: to inform the user of changes to the product, in a clear and concise way. Its not supposed to be a riddle, they arent clues or hints as to what may have changed. All changes in the patch should be in the notes, and all notes should be correct, complete and understandable by the average user. Its not as if this the largest patch mankind has ever seen, either. So if you say 'changes to blueprints', you link that to the document so people dont have to search the forums. When you announce the biggest change, the increase in mats, you dont make a typo in the only character that really mattered. When you pre-announced a big change for the DSS, you either put it in the patch notes, and if it is not there, you inform the customer why it is not there. For crying out loud, sometimes I cant help but feel FD is intentionally cultivating a reputation for being terrible at communicating just literally any kind of information.
Really, I love ED and the guys at FD are great, but just a minor ammount of polish here and there would help their reputation so incredibly much...
