Patch Notes Update 2.1.05 update incoming

This leads me to two questions:
1. Why do so many people in this thread say you get FIVE times the materials, while the patch says it is THREE times as much?
2. How does this address the problem at all? It seems like a random adjustment without even trying to understand what the issue is.
.
To explain that: I need ONE unit of a material. Formerly one person spent 15 minutes to get it, the other player spent 5 hours at the very same location, doing the very same activity and got ZERO. Now the first one gets THREE units, the other one still gets ZERO. Perhaps I am missing something, but for me this really seems to be a case of not even trying to understand the problem but rather just turning random dials in the hopes that people will be happy.
.
An actual fix would not be "you have a low chance to get it, but if you get it you now get a lot". It would rather increase the drop chances, to create better consistency in the drops.

They mentioned in previous posts that they would be looking at the drop chance, as well as the number per drop. This list probably doesn't include every single change, they never do. Aside from that over the course of time both players will find very similar loot if looking in similarly likely places, it's absurd to think otherwise. Most of the problem with people not finding what they are looking for is where they are looking and how they are doing it.

I'm as confused as you are about the 5 vs 3 thing, I read 3.

Cheers. I was already going from that info, but I see other posts saying Commodities are still part of the blueprints and/or the spreadsheet was missing all the commodities? Have I missed something?

Yes spreadsheet is missing commodities i believe you will still require them except for level 1 upgrades hopefully they will give us an updated complete spreadsheet at some stage.

It looks like they forgot to actually make sure the PDT buff made it into the game. When you get a chance, test 6 PDT's against some missiles and you'll see what I mean.

I think its more about placement: you never actually have six utility slots pointing at the missiles, at least half of them are facing the wrong way, and that is if you manouver correctly...

So the commodities requirements are still in meaning you are still locked out of switching ships if they don't already have cargo space pre-installed on the parked ship? (unless you want to ditch rare commodities)

Yep, surely as a temporary fix it wouldn't be too hard to make it so stored ships can have cargo in the hold, then all you need is a cheapo T7 to be a warehouse at your home base and you're sorted.

Could make it so you can transfer modules to parked ships too which would be a temporary fix to module storage too.

They forgot to add this update:

  • Removed solo and private group mode
  • Combat logging now results in a 30 day ban for the first offence, increasing to 60 days for the second and 120 days for the third.

[cool]

Can't rep you again.

Ahhh - I see the edit on the OP of the blueprint materials thread now. That explains it. Thanks for the help.

See, this is why people (not just you) need to read the entire thread before commenting.

EDIT To correct mistake in copy: 'with physical micro resources or retrieving data loot, add 3 to the inventory instead of 1. If your inventory can't fit 3, just add enough to fill the inventory'

Sorry about that.

That's the 63rd post in the thread.

In the launcher, go to options->validate game files.

Hrm, it d/led new manifests and 350 megs of something... then same behaviour (shows up to date/Play instead of Upgrade/check for game updates shows 'game up to date', but in main menu I still get the "you need to upgrade your game" error)

FDev?

No need for you to complain then. But for others who like the Target only setting better it's very annoying so there's reason to complain. Get it ? :)

No, I still dont get why this makes turrets 'useless now', as the post I responded to claimed. Annoying? Sure. Should be fixed? Sure. Makes them useless?
