Please do, I went there to look for barney some time ago, and it is a great place to be, plus you can after that try and cross to the next arm of the galaxy
did just leave the NGC 7822 nebula and it is indeed a great place to be lots of black holes to find

In your video you don't have the UP targeted after release though. Have you tried it while having it targeted? Not sure if that makes a difference, but that's the only discrepancy I can see.

I must be doing something wrong with the audio test, as I get them in groups of 5, with two exception (in bold), between honks. I have the speed set at 3x and it's a clear distinction between a Low and a High pitch. The sequence I get from the video using "my faulty method" is (- = Low, l = High, (H) = HONK):
<single omitted prior first honk> (H) l - l l - (H) l - - l l (H) - - l l - (H) - l - - l (H) l - - l l (H) - - l l - (H) - l - - l (H) l - - l l (H) - l - - (H) l l - - l l (H) - l l - l (H) - <end of file>
Tried converting the sounds between honks from binary to numbers and got a sequence of 9 - 12 - 25 - 22 - 12 - 25 - 5 - 6 - 4 (22) - 12 - 18. The number in paranthesis is if I carry the first sound after the next honk to make them all sequences of five.
Now, someone please tell me where I am going wrong!
This has been answered already, but thought I'd add one tidbit. The UPs showed up as illegal at the release of 2.1, hence my notion that the UPs didn't exist in the game prior to 2.1.Found something, it may be old though - but at least there are some dudes in the bubble that already know about the probe
Where exactly are you looking? Most of the UP Convoys have been found around Planet 5 in G 99-49, Planet B 5 A and A 8 in ROSS 47. So if you're looking for a UP where it is known to have been, I would look there. If you are looking for a new location, I would go somewhere else

Some sound effects in this game carries voice. Some of it is actually hard to make out (and they just gave it a boost to help). This recording is not one of them, I can't hear anything meaningful in it at all sorry.
There's one someone posted a while back where I can hear "I'm going...to make you BURN" but most people disagreed with me. Which troubles me, because if I'm wrong it probably reflects badly on my mental state. Wanna go camping with me? I'll leave the axe at home I promise

I've spent a couple of hours in G99-49 and Ross 47 this afternoon but I didn't see any other commanders and none of the Threat 4 Convoys I encountered had anything unusual in. Since there are now several UPs in Canonn hands, I'll focus on my hunch of looking for something between 210LY and 240LY from Merope. There are some inhabited systems in this region but it's a huge volume to cover, so I'll focus on one or two systems then go back to getting my Anaconda prepped for another Jaques run if I don't find anything today.

Hummm interesting, a cloaked ship leaving a cloaked station or perhaps its one of these copied ships people are on about piloted by AI, might explain why it didn't show before or after the jump.
