Has someone ECM´d a UP yet? Some may have noticed that - besides the HONK - even the ECM-Sound is now projected throughout the instance you are flying in. This must have a reason.
Quick question. Has the UP been honked at all star types including black hole?
Two question to anyone that might be willing to answer: "What is the implication of solving this and is their a dead line?"
I was in the shell for about an hour yesterday, searching for free floater UPs.
Didn't find one, but as soon as I entered the orbit zone of a 'Barnacle friendly' planet I found this.

It was a good old UA, falling towards the planet.
Planet is actually Hyades sector DL-Y D39 5C.
Upon arrival I immediately got a degraded emission USS, with one escape pod.
As soon as left that one, I got the Anomaly USS.
Yes a different time Braben said there would be A Wormhole. Although he never said as a use of shortcut but he did say there would be ONE at one stage. From then he said there wouldnt be shortcuts but he never said there wouldn't be wormholes. The wormhole itself could be a "once off" experiance hence not a shortcut put a single instance travel to which you must make your way back
that happened to me as well. it is normal because you got the USS inside the gravity zone.
I followed one for 40 minutes, got bored and picked it up.
Quick question : can you use collector limpet on UA / UP ? I see everyone scooping them manualy so i wonder...
Nice show, folks. o7<snip>
Yes, it's normal.
What I'm wondering is if UAs only spawn in the gravity zone in systems with planets (Barnacle friendly).
The star zone and deep space seem to be devoid of them.

Ok, so I think Ed dropped a hint in the (well, more than one) live stream that people may have missed (forgive me if it's been discussed). This relates to something I saw 4 days ago whilst I was roving around on the surface of Merope 5c, but I have absolutely no evidence from my end as I was honestly just driving about in VR. Ok, so here goes:
Approximately 4 days ago, as mentioned, I was driving around in my SRV on the surface of Merope 5c and I was looking at the stars in my HTC Vive to see if I could see any patterns or something, so I looked at my HUD and my hull percentage was at 36%. This was rather odd as I hadn't taken any damage at all whilst driving. So, naturally, my body decided to expel the brown stuff and I immediately recalled my ship. Whilst I was waiting for it, I noticed that on my Radar there was a sparkling effect around the image of my SRV. I've never seen it before so I moved quite rapidly, forwards...well, the sparkling stopped. Odd stuff. So I moved back to where I was and it reappeared (but the damage to my hull never changed).
Anyway, on to why I post this now. In the live stream video at 1:06:55 there is a shot of the probe with Earth directly behind it and there is a sparkling effect exactly like what I saw on my radar. Ed says "Look at that sparkling, it kind of makes it look like sparkling lights on the Earth's surface, like it's interrupting things or something". I'm wondering if it's related in some way.
Hopefully someone reads this and can test it in some way. I'm nowhere near Merope anymore as I decided to do some long range trading to get a bit of cashWhatever the result, thanks for reading!
Best of luck Commanders,
