Something was changed since this morning......Me and Gypsy where looking at some systems that have now vanished from the galaxy or been name changed. I personally was at 3 of these systems and recall the area of them but i now have no system info for any system in the EAFOTS cluster
^This. I must be terrible, or the most unfortunate player ever. Never seen a UA / UP, no "secret missions", and not a single clue or hint. Fortunately I can still blow things up and live vicariously through these message boards.[noob]
The code in the article is already marked as the EAFOTS cluster its just a repeated message
Isn't it a player submitted article? So it really doesn't mean anything. It isn't a true hint. Those nebulae have always been part of the mythos

problem is i just want to explore in this game. i dont want to fight, though its a nice rush running from one when someone wants my data so im cool with that; But i want to discover things. and i dont mean point my ship at a planet no one else has and wait for a message to say 'congratulations your the first person to stare at this rock for 30 seconds. I want to be able to find ruins of ancient civilizations, or crashed wwrecks from mysterios ships. not all the time but some times.
I want to go see the memorial for the anteres or whatever. I want to see this ship grave yard. I want surface scanners that give us a more detailed map. POI scanners that draw our attention to more than the same old crashed SRV or Human space craft.
The Barnys were cool but they are ungodly small and otherwise borish after a visit or two. the UA was neat but is ungodly small and otherwise borish after a visit or two. UP is so rare you have to run a youtube show for the devs to get some.

I think the majority of the people that participate in this thread would agree with you. FD is doing a great job with what they have been paying attention to, but there is so much more that could be done. Unfortunately we are going to have to wait over time as this unfolds during the next 7 seasons of content. If it was all there on day one it would have never been done.

ATTENTION really bright polaris/rho cas baby brother spotted in the EAFOTS cluster never seen it there before. trying to pinpoint its location
A repeat post but one that hasn't had much impact. Can someone ping a UP near a star of every type? It'll take some travelling to get them all but it may be worthwhile. See if one particular type has a different sound image. Didn't ed say to keep trying in different places? This is one easy to try experiment with measurable results. Just needs a willing pilot with a UP and some time.

If you take it that "TSEAFO" stands for The South East Atlantic Fisheries Organisation, I think it may be a red herring in our investigations.
However I actually think it refers to other mysteries out there , such as the dark wheel, the Formidine Rift and raxxala.

Possible, but not yet decoded!
Use a UA. If you drop one it points to Merope, then select a star so that you can see it from your cockpit. you can use those two points to tell pretty accurately which way you're ship is pointing in the gal map. I do it all the time. It's why I think the UA is actually a compass because I actually USE it as a compass.

But the star definitly is in Eafots at first i taught maybe further but seems i passed it going through now to find it and/or retrace my jumps

Ok so I'm working on the idea that it's a map of barnards loop area of space.
I know they have been permit locked for a long time now but I could still get around the permit locked systems.
I have gone back today to have another look but I'm pretty sure it's been tightened up.
i have been looking for a few hours now to get in but I can't.
If you face gal map so the core is behind barnards loop there is actually quite an obvious line of permit locked systems.
Im starting to think this is a cordon to keep us out or something in.
Now looking at the probe diagram I was looking at the area furthest from the bubble on the other side of the nebulae
and there is a small grouping of systems within the permit locked area almost exactly where the line is pointing if I line it up with the bubble. My train of thought is its a map to get to where we need to be to gain access behind the "security cordon" Call me crazy but I will keep pursuing this and I will let anyone know if I find anything.
I am also assuming this is hair brained but hey try anything right.

This reference to Tionisla graveyard and EAFOTS is the long awaited next clue in the Formidine Rift mystery, as promised by Drew Wagar the author of Elite Reclamation and the originator of the FR mystery. Anything to do with that has its own thread, please post there.
