I really wish I was.
Hyped, that is.
I'm only somewhat reluctant.

All the buttstuff with the engineers; bad bingo, endless boredom collecting crap - the perverted lust to present mindless, repetitive, never-ending grinding as fun.
It has all made me rather wary.

But I might indeed be wrong! [yesnod]

I feel as though passenger missions will be no different than the current cargo haul missions. Or you might have a lifeless mannequin sitting in that empty seat next to you, or at least a crappily animated one.

I'm mainly excited because at least there will be *some* news. 2 more weeks of nothing is a depressing thought. I wish we'd get even the tiniest bit of info this Friday but I guess they are holding their cards close to their chest :(

After Gamescom last year when Horizons was revealed we got more regular updates so I'm hyped for getting back to a more regular stream of news :)

Well... With FD's lack of communication (most of the time) and their inability to be truthful or upfront about things (See every single trailer they've ever made) I'm rather "meh" about it.

I'd love for them to drop something amazing.. But their current track record says they'll either say/do nothing new or they'll rehash crap we already know about... And possibly find a new way to draw cash out of people.

Nope hype for me regarding Elite has died, unless FD start doing things less orientated to MP and pew pew then I'm not much bothered with it anymore. Please FD, stop the Powerplay and Engineer type nonsense and FLESH out the other careers more. Horizons has been a complete flop for me and I was hyped like mad for it, I really thought exploration would get a bit more attention but then engineers happened and there was no Meh big enough to express my disappointment.

I remember reading Mr Brooke's saying at Lavecon there would be more about station variation/visuals, so something as simple as that would be pretty cool.

Hyped? Not really. I start to dislike hype as idea. It is quite clear they will talk about rest of Season 2 updates *and* there's possible hope for some Season 3 stuff to be shown. I am more interested in developing story lines, and passenger transportation, so 2.2 hype is alive for me a bit.

Still, FD thinks date is pretty important - they seem to have put all eggs in Gamescom basket - so I want to know of course.

Sure. This has been my favorite game for the last couple years and I'm still having just as much fun upgrading my ship as I did making my first system jump or planet landing.

So yea, it's hands down my favorite game. I'm excited and hyped to hear what's coming.

I'm saying no, because I'm tired of being disappointed. I'm certainly curious and looking forward to the date, but I'm actively avoiding getting too excited.
