No.

Why?

Because we already know what is coming. Passenger missions and ship launched fighters. Nothing wrong with those things at all but will it leave us feeling that ED has suddenly grown in any way? Will the game suddely be filled with new purpose? Like I say, there is nothing wrong with the features themselves and they will add more richness to the game but only if you are already enamoured with the games current sense of purpose. I do not see this fundamental issue being addressed in 2.2 nor in any other of the planned features.

Meanwhile, those of us concerned about this issue in the community will continue to beome more disillusioned with ED.

So no, my hype levels are set to zero. I would dearly love to be proved wrong though!

Ya'll people thinking (hoping) that season 3 will have space legs, I like your enthusiasm but honestly it is extremely unlikely.

Anyway, I was the first to vote No in this poll when on my first break at work, funny seeing how it's panned out now that I'm home.

Yeah. It's gunna be awesome.

Especially when they announce we can jettison annoying passengers/players from our ship.

Don't like playing in open? Perhaps you'd enjoy the cold vacuum of space. Ba hahahahahahahaha *beep* *wooosh*

Must say "NO", every major expansion: (planet landing was ok) Wings, Powerplay, Engineers was a huge disappointment, I am not expecting anything ground breaking from FD anymore. I would rather see all this garbage fixed first.

Not really.
I'm guessing we get a lot of soons, laters, it's on the lists and things we want to do's.
And since they still haven't been able to create a believable AI, my hopes went down the drain weeks ago.
Hope they prove me wrong.

Honestly I used to get really hyped for new ED news, but since being disappointed so many times I have lost faith.

My hype has been transferred to NMS, who after a delay & controversy have still managed to exceed my expectations (latest with the pre-release patch 1.03) I know the game isn't out yet, but at the moment if I had 10 hype coins to give, I'd give Hello Games 9 and Frontier Dev 1.

To what exactly?

I imagine exciting 2016 gameplay where one can actually get out the cockpit and see the rest of our ships that we live on,or explore stations....they are bound to have shops and bars ect......time for cool gameplay mechanics...perhaps npc characters that actually are visible entitys in game and not a pic of a avatar star fox style.

surely all us space game nutters want the closest thing to living in space as possible?.......this is why I back SC as it has all that cool stuff.

Cmon FD Surprise me!....please

How any of that is not grindy and repeatable as other gameplay?

Or it has nothing to do with grind and everything to do we imagine we think might be "exciting" game.

For any kind of hype you need to see or at least hear something cool. Cant remember when FD showed us something like that (maybe i just dont care anymore).

Look at NMS, most of the hype was created by showing nice visuals.............waiting for at least some info about vulcanism that should be included in this season.

Hype? Hell no.......Hope. Hell yeah.

Thats because everything is a grind to those who dont like doing it yet do it repeatedly. Grind is not a description of an activity, but a mentality. Which is why everyone's favourite addition will be 'a grind' to someone. :)

This is true, hype is directly related to the quality of visuals or concepts provided in writing... (e.g. NMS announcing it's working on bases & owning capital ships, it's what most people want)

If the Passenger/Multi-Crew/Space Legs visuals are boring, and the concepts appear to be lacking, then the hype will reduce.

you guys want to see hype..you wait until CIG have finished mopping the floor with everthing else......now they have something big to show that's for sure.
its all so exciting....I do want to see what FD are planning
