Ha thanks!
i will study that this week end

The comment from MB about "the next step being there" was made two days before RIZ@L scanned the UP and got a reply. So, without MB coming in again and saying that "the next step is there", we can't know if he was talking about the UP Reply, or something else.
So, confirmation for the current next step is pending.
Yeah the shell (bubble works too but I get why it's confusing, lol)
Glad it's not just me then. It has made it a real pain in the butt to contact Palin for his CRCR
Couple hours searching and not a single fragment to show for it yet.
Hello,
I must say that i must give up on my research based on the axis of Merope 5 C.
The problem is that Merope 5 C Axis change all the time.
As a picture is more easy to understand than long explanation, here it is:
(yeah thanks i know i know, i'm an Artist!)

The problem is that the North(South) pole on the X AND Y axis change and change and change again....
I don't have logical explanation, especially that the meridian (longitude) ~117° is always facing Merope 5 (of course, as it take 6.6 Days for the revolution and rotation)
EDIT:
The problem of having not fixed axis, is that you can't get Latitude and Longitude to start from for a Direction based on axis of the planet.
I'm sorry you did not get the irony
But if you read back your posts carefully, they are very similar to thousands of posts of people teasing us they got the solution without telling. So many. Usually what noobs should do before posting is to read the front page to check what's there.
So please forgive me for the reply, I've read 80.000 posts so far, where 20% were similar to your, but honestly it was fun to write it.
Take it easy and go on with your science!
Ah! And welcome to the madness!![]()
Merope 5C is a rotating body. That means that it's rotational axis (trough bot poles) always point the same way i space (sans wobble that is not implemented in Elite).
This axis is tilted 15.78° on the orbital plane. This means that e. g. the north pole will face towards M5 during half the orbit and away from M5 the other half.
If this tilt is perfectly in the plane that is perpendicular on the orbital plane and goes trough both M5 and M5C you will have this shift only on your X axis. However if the tilt is a bit to the side as well, you will also get a shift on the Y axis.
This seem to be the case for M5C.
The Y axis shift will hardly be noticeable, if measurements are done on the equator.
Hi again
some meanings of the PROBE:
1- a device that is put inside something to test or record information
2- an exploratory action or expedition, especially one designed to investigate and obtain
information on a remote or unknown region
UPs flight plan/instructions:
1. (--|) units = UA shell radius = 135-150 Ly
2. (-|-) calculate 1/4 of circumference = 212-236 Ly
3. (-||) distance - 212-236 x 2 = 424-472 Ly
4. (|--) fly in to the main direction 212-236 x 2 = 424-472 Ly, take position in to the shell 30°wide for PROBING
Main direction? Possible SOL, bubble - creators of UAs, UPs are intrested in us

Well, Hey MB! Suh dood ? Can you tell us if the next step is there ?
You haven't finished this one yet.
