Here is one of the best effort posts I've seen on the SA forums in recent weeks (and there have been a lot of great ones too, interspersed between the plentiful CIG-baiting cack-posting comments and cat(te)tax pictures.) It perfectly distils all of the issues that are afflicting Star Citizen and the huge obstacles CIG would face just trying to address all of them (and those are just the ones the poster mentioned, there are a ton more which could be included) if they want his game to come out in any sort of reasonable state worthy of release....

So it has become much worse than the last time I checked it.

Also it was funny how Lando was bigging up the 5000+ viewers they had during the stream as if it was some sort of big deal, when anyone with half a brain to check could go back to the "Browse Games" page of Twitch and see for themselves the fact that Star Citizen was not in the top 10 active streams at the time.

The "CitizenCon" stream last year had about 70000 viewers. That's a 93 % drop.

Really I just wish they'd fix the netcode/client physics updating system finally so I can play with a halfway decent framerate.

Rolan's right though, we can't really just say there's nothing after the first day. It looks like it, but let's hold our horses. That CIG_Bearded dude did make it sound like they wouldn't be bringing anything though, so...

If that's the case then I'm glad they're being a bit more up front about it. Better that than the old rubbish they used to spout ie "maybe", "we'll see", "never say never" and all that vagarious nonsense.

ProcGen is weeks not months away, 2.0 launched in Dec2015 was supposed to come with monthly 2.x+1 updates, 2.4 on the floor, jesus patch just 2 months away, they still 'maybe/we'll see' 2.5 here, cheatsheets are ready, my body isn't

So due to gamescom star citizen is offering a free trial until the 22nd. I'll download it and see what I think.

I can say what struck me as weird tho: After registering I go to a splash page which said:

"Your account has been activated, consider backing STAR CITIZEN with a PLEDGE!'

Jeebus, slow down there RSI, take me on a date first, movie, dinner--that sort of thing.

The longer the game is delayed, the better it is. Star Citizen is delayed indefinitely, therefore it's the best game never made.

This is not the company I sent my money to when backing the so-called "Star Citizen" Kickstarter. But strangely enough this was the company I received the payment of my refund from.

I'll spend my money how I wish.

But considering I'm a patient sort of buyer that doesn't make many purchases, and doesn't preorder games as a general rule, it's safe to say I'm not going to spend money one it.

Especially since I hadn't even registered and they are asking for my cash [wacko]
