Don't want to burst the bubble, but there has been a bug in 2.0/2.1 where the screen goes various psychedelic colours at random, then goes away. Normally after exiting the system or galaxy map. It could be something sinister, but most likely is that glitch. Sorry.
Who knows this could be another alien race that is looking for the Thargoids for some reason.
I didn't want to bring this up, but I don't think it is a coincidence, not after the "turn you green" thing. I have spent the last 7-8 days playing religiously. I was coming back from DWE. I was maybe 10kylies away from Sol, right hand side of the core by about 6kylies maybe? I will need to look and check my bookmarks. But I was speaking to my girlfriend who was sitting behind me and all of a sudden MY WHOLE SHIP GOES GREEN. BRIGHT FLUORESCENT GREEN. As green as that green and brown planet that keeps doing the rounds. Everything goes green in my cockpit and my HUD. I could still make things out, and I could still see out the window. It wasn't the usual green/purpley split second GPU glitch I get, it was like....5/6 seconds of pure green everything. I freaked out and my girlfriend saw it and was like ?? I completely froze. i had no idea what to do. It spooked me. I didn't get any screenshot or footage. It's just strange because that code said "to turn you green" and i legitimately turned green for about 6 seconds. Picked my brants.
I just had the same effect in Eol Prou. All visible parts of the ship structure and HUD turned green. Looked like a glitch. I made a screenshot if anyone needs proof (too lazy to convert it to png and upload it right now).

Barnacles are spaceships, and now their crew received orders. So they will rise from inside.
And we will learn why Targoids were running from them!
Involved? They're causing it!

The tones clearly occur in triplets, and seem to be binary (high or low). Since three bits is enough to express any one digit in the octal system, we replace each of these triplets with one octal digit.

I'll say it again, I don't think the | - - - - | at the bottom are numbers at all. The spacing is too different to the 'numbers' at the top. I say it's an indication that a planet - i.e. Merope 5 c - is the unit of measurement being used.

Poor speculation follows, taking those last two sets of three numbers:
