I don't get why the Beluga is being implemented before the Dolphin, from my understanding the Beluga is the biggest of the three ships, and thus the most expensive, the Orca is quite expensive itself.
I might be wrong but the Dolphin is going to be the cheapest entry class ship for this?
Logically I would think the Dolphin would come first to give more people access to be able to try out VIP passenger missions (that can't afford an Orca or Beluga)
(I don't really mind how the Beluga looks to be honest)
And isn't that what we call opportunity cost?
The whole choice thing?
You want to be able to land at outposts, you will need to make a compromise for that.
When I saw the following image I KNEW the Beluga was huge (supposedly too large to dock with any of the current stations). Now it is in the pipeline it is barely bigger than the Orca. That does somewhat spoil the anticipation.
That concept art picture is gorgeous, I wanted to own that ship the second that I saw it for the first time.
Having said that, although the Beluga we're actually getting isn't as good-looking as that, I do like it. The concept art pic looks more suited to spaceflight only, the actual design seems to tip a nod to the fact that it will also be expected to undertake planetary landings and presumably atmospheric flight at some point in the future.

Nice thinking. I found a still image of it.
Breaking it down I'm starting to think the Beluga is actually a sized up Dolphin.
I just photoshopped off the fins in sets one at a time.
- Fixed images: They got swapped out of order. Which ones do you like?

The concept was gorgeous, these artists are talented.
But I think that someone may have invited them in his office, and reminded them that it was called "beluga", not "epic space shark"

If you release the Beluga as it is you're really shooting yourself in the foot.
