Here's the part I don't quite get. Even accepting the premise that this sought-after pilot will only appear in open and in certain instances, what exactly is preventing us, the community from grouping up and instead of allowing SDC to gank others, the group ganks them? It's not like they have an unbeatable army of a million people. There are certainly people around who are eager for the aliens to arrive just so they can shoot them first, so where are those trigger-happy jokers when someone ought to hunt the SDC jokers down?

What I think is FD first tried that option, but when their CMDR was killed, opted for a more traditional way of doing things :D

An obvious obstacle is someone killing Kohl repeatedly :)
And that's preventing us to find the next clues and then the solution.
Hence a CG.

But I'm speculating a lot here, I know :D

However, there's a new CG with a code in it. We should stop arguing and try to decode it, right ;)

It is really cool to have something special happen in open,
but as far as instancing is a factor, that seriously limits the amount of people
able to partake in these parts.

Thank you for the honesty and clarity. As long as you guys have factored in 'backups' for if parts of this go south, which I believe you have, then I don't actually mind this at all.

In most cases instancing prevents us from doing that.

Anyone with high PvP experience with 4x tooled up Engineer Combat ships looking for the Red Trader want to do this??? No thought not and I don't want to PvP so count me out and stop trying to force me to play in a way I don't wish too.
