The time in question is the time you see on your clock in the game. Not on earth, no matter where you are, just look in the game. Soon your clock on your monitor/tv/radio will say 15: 00.

On the subject of time, game time is shown on the game clock in the game. I have no idea why anybody feels a need to make it any harder than that. It doesn't matter where you live, or how many hours in front or behind UTC, GMT, CEST or any other time zone you are, if an in-game message says 15:00 it's 15:00 in game time and you can tell what time it is in game time now by looking at the game time clock in the game.

You are not 'forced' into it. You never have to go anywhere near the pvp, even in open. However, as with all good risk/reward structures, you do have to be willing to put more on the line to earn the more interesting rewards.

well here is something to ponder. If there is indeed an alien race were about to get first contact with. Where do you think it will occur. will it be in solo mode? NO? private mode? No? Open mode..ah yeah.. oh wait. who shot first????? .. what is the point of having an event where rules of the many are outweighed by the one..because you know the outcome of any first contact scenario. its a bit pointless to continue in this event.

Now if the result is a Military Meta hyperdrive. which has been rumored in the past which could be used to stumble across an alien race. Than carry on regardless! :)

yeah, when the clocks go back in october my house clock and my ship clock will be exactly the same.

The number of fish needed to complete the community goal is too much to complete in 2 hours? That sucks too.

Not only did we not see aliens, we also have a community goal that cannot be completed Today!? [down]

Who else is suspecting the stuff they "want to show us" is a giant planet based magnet,
creating a large ship graveyard, the ominous hint-givers then use to get rich?

If i learned one thing in E: D it was to never trust a person saying "follow me

I think that was the point, the number is so astronomically huge to tell us "don't actually deliver fish". Probably just needed to put some commodity and number in to create the CG.
