Why not simply disable themn lock on to the lifesupport and ask them:
"Do you want to die?!"

Worked in Journey Quest, will work on them too:D
Ah but if you ask the liar, and they respond No. You get nowhere. Similarly the Truther could be suicidal, thus get the same results with a Yes answer. So either way you're scuppered :/

Huh? the liar would respond "Yes! Yes! i want to die!"
The premise is in what we have in the text:
One does ALWAYS lie. So he'd be prone to say "Yes!"

So I'm in deep space exploration for 6 months now, and since my SRV got destroyed along the way, I've decided to check out Jacques, and then return to the bubble to be able to take part in The Hunt.
Dillon: "Rocky planet at Latitude 34 near a binary pulsars" Kohl: "One of my Friends always lies, the system has a single m-Class Star"
I'm making my way towards Jacques, following today's events here & on frontier forum, and on twitch stream. Fun times. And then, out of the sudden, I jump into a system with binary neutrons, one main-sequence star, and one landable planet orbiting the binaries. WAIT, WHAT?!
Can't check it out as I don't have an SRV. My hopes are, that Jacques will fix me up and sell me one. Then I can return and investigate (hopefully in a few hrs.)
The system is ~3k away from Jacques station. It would make only sense if frontier wanted to combine both bubbles in the hunt. Also, Pulsar is quickly spinning neutron star. The way I read it is, they lied about "rocky" and "m-class". Ideas?

Hi,

I'd just like to quickly confirm that the event isn't entirely open only. Later phases will be possible in solo.

In the future it might be wise to give a hint that some parts will be in open to avoid the angst like today. For some of us it was obvious for quite a while, but I guess others don't understand technical limitations.

The colour of their ships is clearly important for some reason. Would it not be simpler to ask them "what is the colour of your ship?". Then it would be simple to determine who is the liar.

Thank you for the confirmation - and to everyone at Frontier working on a bank holiday Sunday.

Any chance of talking to someone about the broken planetary compass? Currently north/south and east/west seem to be reversed. I raised a bug report about it a little while ago, but it's going to make the latitude 34 clue a bit aggravating for people to find. Also, we really, really need the planetary compass in orbital cruise ;-;

Thank you again!

I not want break all these ideas about one person lies ... but what if "always lying friend" is meant as hint pointing on planetary binary? One Icy and one barren planet very close to each other ...

Minudra, we'll find nothing substantial before 2.2 beta. Just running after our tails and searching muddy waters. That "incredible something" that " all the Galaxy will want to see" is simply not yet implemented IMHO.
