Bacause at the moment, the "Shipyard" option is only there when required. ie: If you can't buy (or sell) a ship, then you can't store a ship. Why offer an option you can't do anything in?

If you can now (in 2.2) get another ship to a station, then you can use the ship storage aspect of the Shipyard ;)

You keep saying this word "shipyard" but I don't think you quite understand what it means in relation to the game and the gameplay mechanic in question.

There is now an official poll

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/286967-IMPORTANT-OFFICIAL-SHIP-TRANSFER-POLL

As Sandro says in the post PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Is the poll actually suggesting, a delayed transfer would mean a time between 5-100 minutes (local, to across the galaxy)? - "Yes there should be a delay of 5 minutes minimum, 100 minutes to cross the human bubble, edge to edge."

Because that is somewhat daft, pointless and then immediate would be better than that!

Such a pointless vapid delay wouldn't achieve anything...

Times can be adjusted if needed. Adding/changing instant to delayed or visa versa would be problematic.

I'm just taking it as instant vs. delayed with an example.

Nah, let this continue to be the caustic debate thread. No need to smear the other one with poo, especially since it's a sticky.

I don't understand. The delay they are proposing is the time it would take a bulk transporter to deliver the ship. Isn't that what you were arguing for?
