I figure that if this feature is going into the game (which it obviously is), and more than likely will have a delay component (FD would not have posted this poll otherwise since they had already said INSTANT before), then why not turn this into a truly BIG NEW FEATURE for 2.2?
HUGE Transport Ships IN-Game! Not only to help bring realism to the ship transfer feature, but as you said... Expand missions to involve escort and protection missions revolving around these ships. Capital Ship involvement has been pretty lack luster, but everyone loves checking them out!
If Transports were nearly that size and actually moved around and did stuff, I think most ED players would quickly get over the delayed transport thing, since they would be very familiar with the vessels that are actually doing the transporting.![]()
Fab idea but the MASSIVE small print is if the modules are available tho.... I doubt engineered ship owners would make use of the feature tho
