Pro tip! If you got to a conflict zone, EXPECT CONFLICT

OYeah, combat-log... Again.

In open, during a CG and a conflict zone, yes they should expect conflict. So yes, it was a bad move from them.
But OP, reporting them would also be a bad move. Stop the witch hunt already - no one at Fdev cares and you shouldn't either. They combat logged - you won by procuration. You scared them off. Should be enough to know that.

Don't ruin other people's day for trivial matters in a videogame as Elite. It's not a competitive playground.
So it's okay for people to ruin my game but not for me to ruin theirs? No. I will report cheaters for what they are.

I got killed tonight by a federal corvette in the CZ near phillips dock, was that you? No hard feelings just curious. I was getting a little arrogant and might have needed a good killing :)

I was in an FDL and dived in to a furball around 2 capital ships a player federal corvette and various and sundry smaller ships.

Nope. Not me.

I find that pretty annoying.

You allow PvP in a conflict zone because that's what they were intended for and are legit gameplay etc.. but you don't allow piracy even if you don't kill anyone which is just as legit of a thing to do?

I don't get that reasoning.

Off topic. Sorry mods. But related to this post.

Out of curiosity I tried to join that group. I am a PVE Pirate and am on record as such for some time. I advised them I was just interested but would certainly be PVE pirating. They politely suggested I would be happier in Open. Which is probably true but suggests they are indeed a Piracy free group.

Its a shame though. I had a half formed idea of starting a Pirate group operating from inside Möbius. Can you imagine the Pirate points I would get for that?

I didn't know that!

Most Mobius pilots will warn you, even in CZ's, though. Just because it's permitted to PVP in conflict zones it doesn't mean that you will automatically be jumped. Most Mobius pilots seem happy to let each other get on with their business.

Commanders are however not allowed to enter CZs with the purpose of PvP and to search out other commanders to kill them. There is a big difference between the two, and the latter is not allowed in Mobius.

I'm not in Mobius, but this seems to me a complicate rule to enforce. If there are enemy players in a CZ, they are usually the most effective ships in destroying the NPCs on your side, so if you don't want to end alone in a sea of red, you have to eliminate them from the opposition, by destroying or making them flee.

On the other hand, how can you tell if anybody entered the zone with the "purpose of pvp"? If they eliminate their opponents how can you know if they keep staying in the CZ or not?

It works because almost all the people in Mobius are strict PvE and any open square (ie commander) is a fellow player to chat with etc, not a target. This really hasn't been a problem in Mobius because of the understanding among the players there. It is only a problem when people who don't have a pretty strict PvE policy and don't play in Mobius try to understand it ;)

Worth far more then the crap game you play. Blocked because I don't need to waste time on cheaters or the people who support them.

Oh my...

So why this rule? It would make more sense to completely forbid attacks even in CZs. It's not logic, if the policy is strictly PvE, to have an exception for CZ that is not enforced because usually players ignore it or abide by the PvE policy in any case. Well, going back to open. Sorry for the OT.
