Shady contacts

Oh wow, I missed part of that. I read about SIN brokers but thought it was just for paying off fines. I don't need that. Even in real life I have a warrant in OKlahoma for an unpaid speeding ticket and I'm all "Lol no, never going there again anyway."

I stopped bothering with the KWS because it was too much leg-work. This sounds very redeeming.

'Fixer' may be a better fit that 'factor' if you want to infer a mild degree of shadiness to it.

I like factor. Though fixer does have a nice cyberpunk feel, this game has a different background.

E.C.Tubb used factor to describe the often shady dealers in his Dumarest Saga. This classic series was one of the main influences on the sci-fi roleplaying game Traveller. This game has had an influence on both Elite and ED.

Hello Commanders!

The current name of this organisation is now "Interstellar Factors" (they have probably changed their business address as well :)).

I quite liked the shady vibe.. But whats in a name, its good QOL stuff and is gonna be useful to us all :)

I wonder if there will be, as suggested, some kind of underworld for us more shady people. An idea comming to mind would be loansharks, which we can make use of when we have a high enough status with the underworld allowing us to get larger sums of money for buying ships for example, which we have to pay back in a certain amount of time, but with an additional fee for being given the money in the first place. If not, wings of assassins will be sent against you. Would make for some interesting early and maybe mid game choices.

I had a think about that once. Lawks, was it already two years ago?

It was supposed to be so easy - Life as an outlaw in Elite: Dangerous

It´s pretty good. A few ideas on how pirate economy ships and weapons work could be taken from x3. I agree with almost all of it, except the law enforcement system (the old story of open beeing a free for all killing ground).

Put them in High pop High security systems as well. Those ones should charge MUCH higher fees and be called Lawyers. They exist for reals in America.
