The Star Citizen Thread v5

Ok how would you define a person who dedicates countless hours posting on a forum hundreds of times a day during entire months just to bash and attack a guy who is not even there?
Be serious, what would you think about a person who does that?

No one is doing that here either. You know, your whole "facts" and what not that are clearly just exaggerated opinions.

If no one is doing that here, there is no reason to feel offended.
By the way, your whole "facts" are also clearly just exaggerated opinions. So what about we stop trying to enforce our personal opinions? We could have saved ourselves about 20k conspiracy posts on this thread, and a hundred heated discussions which lead to nowhere.

I really doubt that anyone participating on this thread could honestly be offended by anyone else participating in this thread. After all - it's a discussion about CIG and their developments - not about any of the people in the discussion.

I'm not - not even sure how the "offended" bit even came into consideration. It is just ironic that coming from someone who insists that someone else's "opinions" - which have been factually backed up previously - aren't worth being stated while the individual that proclaims that is nothing but over exaggerated claims with zero facts.

And, I'll repeat myself again - if SC was so great, and it was coming together so nicely and quickly with so much awesome stuff to do and all of its ships and systems and etc coming online very soon then it would stand on it's own and be a shining beacon that requires no zealots or defending squad or anyone to sit and obfuscate facts or deflect attention trying to make other games look bad. Instead it requires the latter because it is a shoddy mess that isn't even a game. NMS is a more feature packed product than SC in at least a quadrillion ways.

Wasn't 2.6 supposed to be out for this citcon thing?
2.6 who is just renamed 2.5.2 or 3.0 who is just renamed 2.6 at this point?

I have lost track to be honest. Any new reveals - of course stage demo, of course not playable public alpha - will be during Robert's presentation on Sunday.

Factually backed up previously? Of course not. Backed up with rumours, yes but without facts. "A supposed insider with a secret identity emailed me" or "i read about it in the SA forum" are not facts.

I can't speak for kickstarter backers - but if they'd been honest about this at any point before I got in there is no way I'd have put anything into this crapfest.

But then if they'd been honest from the start we wouldn't be having this conversation - the funding would have ceased years ago.
I was backing it since day 1 and when they finally started their JPEG sales, I already had the first doubts. I decided to never give any more money. Retrospectively that was a very smart decision. I didn't follow the project very closely until Oct 2014 ("Hey, where is the game it paid for?") and I got the full dose of cult (Sandi speech) in fall 2015 while being unprepared. That was a rude wake-up call for sure.

No, again - factually backed up. Like cut features and promises from Strike Commander even with several delays, and completely mismanaging and having to be booted from Freelancer. You know, actual facts that I have stated time and again.

insulting.
A someone whose exploring in elite? or some other chill game that leaves time to do stuff on other screen :p

for example Children of a Dead Earth , which is pretty much most realistic space sim i have ever encountered.
+ it lets you build golden nuke guns that shoot smaller golden nukes. (dont do this nukes are terrible in real space)
or maybe you want to build nuclear engine that uses fluorine as a coolant.
Now can anyone say that star citizen has more realism than that? :D

As has been the case for a while, according to today's RSI email there isnt even anything in PTU:

no ptu.JPG

Why? Where is 3.0 coming from ? :)

2.6 was supposed to come out in June 2016.

Monthly patches, remember?

CRoberts doesn't use dates anymore, he's actually taken advice and listened to the rube.. I mean whale sized backers to not use dates anymore because they have missed all of them by a long margin.

Seriously, that's in a Letter from the Chairman. That's a sign of "I haven't a clue what I'm doing."

Oh, you then dont really mean facts. What you mean is speculations based on extrapolations. Not facts.
By the way, the circumstances around Strike Commander and Freelancer are totally different than the ones surrounding Star Citizen, so you shouldn't really even try to extrapolate from those.

P.S: I wouldn't consider Strike Commander or Freelancer as fails, given that both of them had pretty high reviews at the time, ranging from 80/100 upwards. If anything, they were great games. I still played Freelancer a decade after its release.

No, facts. But for the rest - man you must have been top of the class in the mental gymnastics practice squad you were with no doubt coached by Ivana BeVulovchit.

I see Hi-Ban and friends are hard on shutting down discussion due of us being angry with SC?

Well, suck it up. People have rights to have negative opinions about SC. CR has full permission to prove us wrong. Many of us will be happy if that would happen, even if partially. But as days, months and years passes by, few of us actually believe that ever will happen.

Your right about the lack of similarity between star citizen and freelancer, there's no big developer to kick Roberts off the project and sort out the mess this time.
