Best way to rank up with Tod and the Dweller

Same as with any of the others, just build a handful of low level Mods, more than likely you will have the necessary materials already.

Tod also gives rep for turning in bounty vouchers. Like a level for every 200- 300k or so, I think.

Level 1 mods only require super common SRV prospected metals like sulphur or nickel. You get 3% per Level 1 job. I did these from levels 3 to 5 so they may give more bang for the buck at lower levels.

Yes but which are the cheapest?

Specifically the level 2 mods.

Here are all your options. Level 2 lightweight is particularly economical. Avoid wasting any firmwares.

To be honest, you're probably better off just spamming level 1s to hit 3. If I remember correctly its around 20-25 (may actually be closer to 10-15, I remember it being 9% for 1s at rank 2 for some reason) 1s to get to 3 from 1.

No it takes 3 level 1 to get to rank 2 and 9 level 1 to get to rank 3.

If you upgrade something that's one level lower than your current rep it will only ever take 3 upgrades to get to next level.

I read somewhere that it takes 260 lvl 1 materials to get to lvl 5 but I haven't tried it.

243*

It works basicly like this

3x3x3x3x3

So that'll be how many level 1 mods it would take for level 5. If you want to know how many level 3 mods it would be for level 5 it would be

3x3x3 (actually I believe the last 3 might be unnecessary since I think that would only matter if you want to get to level 5 and make it a 100%)

Up to lvl 3? Lvl 1 modifications all the way. What I do.

That'll be 190 nickel/iron or whatever it may be for a ship with 7 hard points. [sad]

You only need to hit lvl 3 once.

12 lvl 1 rolls will take you to lvl 3.

Unless you intend on buying weapon specials in which case, pardon my ignorance.

Yeah I was doing 5s and choosing effects then some nav beacon action, turn that in and then spam nickel, and back to the nav B etc. all the way back to level 5 for another mod. I guess it was 3 to 4, or 4 to 5 that I was getting the 3% per.

Anyway, you seem to have a handle on the whole process, so I'm not really sure why you asked. Whatevs. Have fun.

I wouldn't until after the update as they are changing how effective a load of the effects are.
I understand this is something that needs doing but when you have spent weeks balancing your ship wepons like I have its a massive pain to have to do it again.

Wot.

5

1. I'm lazy and hoped someone already worked out a strat for this.
2. Was hoping there was a way of getting to level 3 using 3 level ones then 3 level 2 mods.

You said you are after wepon specials well they are changing how some of them work in 2.2 .
I'm trying to stop you wasting your time as you might as well wait at this point and see how things turn out.
