I would just like to personally thank you guys for what to me seems like an incredibly mammoth undertaking in creating this new release of Elite. I loved this game in 84 and despite the long wait to Elite Dangerous, I love it even more now it just keeps getting better and better. The future of the game seems boundless particularly if you keep sticking to the ethos of making it as real as possible.
We who are about to play salute you.

NICE update , If the stars visited on the galaxy map filter had Blue for Advanced Discovery Scanner , Red for surface scan for with ADS and Yellow for Detailed surface scanner then colour pictures could be created by Artists and displayed at Tate Modern.

Took about an hour (no pre-existing beta files) this morning in Australia on a 25 Mbps NBN service.

Before the patch dropped I went out to Ceos and parked there. A quick check before heading out to work showed lots of long range delivery missions, but significantly lower rewards.

There's a war going on with Liberate Ceos and some other faction, all the missions will be affected until the war ends.

So, I noticed that in today's official Guardians 2.2 release, there's no hyperspace animation where you can see the start approaching before exiting jump, as was seen in Beta version and in some of the Youtube videos on 2.2 Beta, so this feature is gone / wasn't released, or what happened?

I meant "where you can see the STAR approaching before exiting jump". Thanks Frontier for answering this question since I don't know if is a graph setting I must put to see this or what?

My guess is a geyser heats a secondary medium (usually water on Earth) which escapes in it's gas phase (as steam) .. where a fumarole is a direct line to the volcano, the sulphur (or other gas) was part of and is escaping from, the magma?

Did usual of praying laptop (fully two cores below minimum specs) ran the game .. check!!! A quick read/test of the station UI check, I like it. Took test flight, really smooth, best yet, check. Painted SRV bright yellow, elf and safety reasons, check. Went to volcanic planet, surface textures keeping up way way better, best yet, check! No sign of any fumaroles on first excursion but I do intend to spot some before getting back to the pristine asteroids. That's one great upgrade, thanks Frontier, for a job from the top drawer..

I cannot update the Game, after download it shows me an Error

Please tell me anybody has experience how to fix it?

I went to bed having been downloading this update for twelve hours and it showed six hours still remaining at 0.37mb\s. I tried all the suggested advice on this thread but I guess I was just plain unlucky.

Hopefully the download has been successful as I have wars to fight and other commitments to fulfil :)

yes I am. Interesting. fwiw I had terrible trouble downloading beta 1. In fact beta 2 came out before I was successful - kept erroring out.

We are at war in a system and all the conflict zones have disappeared. has anyone else experienced this?

Not only our conflict zones, there is also a civil war taking place in this same system and those zones have also disappeared?

Just little things like the game keeps your route after you log out from the game and come back to play it later.

It also recalculates the route when you change your ship or make modifications to it. Just open the galaxy map and it's done!
