Patch Notes Update The Guardians Update: 2.2.01

- Stop prosecuting crimes committed by dead Commanders (Cross platform)

Can anyone elaborate on this?

If it is what I think it is, it is referring to being chased by a bounty hunter for an old bounty you had, but sense have ejected into escape pod and respawened.

I keep getting that network stream error with the Alternate Download Method method. But the normal method is estimated at 2 weeks right now

Still see the mission board contracts are still not worth doing. It's a bit of a kick in the teeth getiing paid next to nothing.
Thought they would of adjused the slider to make them worth doing with the patch.
Perhaps the next patch will sort it out...heres hoping :)

Reduced the module and ship transfer costs by half! why!? I thought they were in a good place... not complaining just curious, did you guys not think they were suitable? I think big ships should pay through the roof to be moved... coming from an owner of a big ship with far to many creds :p

The previous costs were far too high for your average ED player. Especially when considering a long distance move out to Colonia/Jaques Station. Prohibitively expensive would be the term I would use in that regard.

I think the reduction is mainly to make long distance transfers out to Colonia and future distant settlements more affordable for more players. I always said during the Beta that most players would be using this feature for those super long distance moves and not a couple hundred light years within the bubble that they could manually fly the old fashioned way. I predicted that the player telemetry would eventually bear this out, and based on the low use numbers with 2.2 Frontier would eventually cut the transfer costs down to something that made sense.

I'm pleased to see that all this happened as fast as it did, and that FD didn't delay making a change when they looked at the numbers and saw how little use the Transfer feature was getting in 2.2 within the first few days of release. If those numbers were low now, they would be even lower a month from now, and so on.

50% less than the original release costs is a good decision and this is the number many of us involved in the Beta had suggested several weeks ago. :) Having the cross galaxy transfer costs out of reach for such a large number of players was never going to benefit anyone in the long run and Frontier obviously knows that and agrees with those of us who presented the argument for lowering these costs originally.

One of the best things to come out of the entire 2.2 update process is how tuned into the community Frontier has become, and how many times they seriously listen to us, and actually implement changes the community has asked for! [up]

Yeah , its a preamble, first you gut the price , say its not working , then sell it off to the "instant ship transfer company"
Dunno, that would by their own vote clearly alienate a larger portion of players then those that want instant travel, granted instant travel crowd has been..loud.

Actually it'd be great to be given options here, in the form of a mission update. Get scanned, they see passenger is wanted. You can turn them in for a bounty upon landing, you can complete the mission and get slapped with a fine. I'm sure there are some fun ways to go about it other than losing missions in the span of a second.

Hell, that's a really easy way of bounty hunting, though you'd lose faction rep with the original mission faction. Take missions for potentially wanted people and hope they don't eject after the scan, so you can turn them in. If they do eject... scoop the escape pod back up into the cargo bay and then turn *that* in :D

Some good ideas.
Remember, though, before you accept the contract for the passenger(s), in question, you are informed that they "might be wanted". I haven't tried it myself, but I believe you have the choice of what route to take to reach the destination. So, your decision could or could not, take them through a system where they are wanted.
