Patch Notes Update The Guardians Update: 2.2.01

What is the Rift spinning issue? Are you talking about the normal landing platform rotation? If so, please make it optional instead of disabling it for the benefit of a small number of players who are motion-sensitive.

I have have to say that I agree with this comment.

I have to say I do too. A fine, a failed mission, a bounty, but insta-death is too harsh. You can bring in 800 tonnes of illegal weapons and get off with a fine, but one wanted guy and you are blown to bits?

Also, passengers who want you to take out their bounty hunters, but ALSO don't want to be scanned, are conflicted.

You need to take out 3 guys (who scan you) but he goes miserable and wants off if he gets scanned 3 times.

Lastly, PLEASE don't nerf the payoffs :p

how long to take to patch a server becuase we're dying BOREDOM

Have to turn off the servers, wait for the clients to gracefully exit, deploy (upload) the new server code to the remote servers, let QA do their stuff with checking code, make sure changes don't make more things explode into a billion pieces. If it all checks out, QA gives the green light to engineering or whomever it might be on call to poke the big red button to re-open the servers. :)

So yeah, it takes time. :)

you missed - fixed Mission Board payouts too low.

Seriously, open sandbox universe.. BUT you MUST do as we want YOU to do to gain credits and right now WE want YOU to do passenger missions... No im not talking about CEOS/SOTHIS - im talking about all the Missions except PASSENGER missions are %90 less payout than before. Pff

Not all, far from it.

EDIT: And server+update is up.

conversely, i've planned to have time until 19:00 to keep myself at my current tier, if you prolong it past there i may go down with no way to plan for it :(

This [up]

Was going to post myself but you beat me too it, what with the downtime / patchtime for those of us on slow connections many of us have missed some shipping time here and its soo close ;)

There is another thread somewhere, neither were started by me, but I've posted on both and they're both the exact same issue.

There was no warning the passenger was wanted, and I was killed within a tenth of a second of being scanned. I'm fairly certain this is a bug, if not it needs to be changed...

Some terrible knee jerk reactions to your issue in this thread as far as I read.

If it isn't a bug, as some maintain, then it is terrible game design. Either way it should be fixed. If a passenger is potentially wanted, and you get scanned, if they do turn out to be wanted you should receive a fine from the station in question upon landing, and lose your passenger mission reward and/or receive mission fine.

Just blowing you up immediately after scanning is just bad game design, or indeed a bug.

I wonder if anyone has taken a *potentially* wanted passenger, been scanned, and been able to dock and complete mission? IE does potentially wanted, just mean wanted?

Pls, can some1 explain this:

- The engineers have now, sadly, sold out of fish. After realizing their mishaps, they've smartened up, noting that fish oil was not the key ingredient needed!

In Beta Engineers have a commodities market where you can buy fish and all their recipes are changed to be only 1 fish. This allows people to rapidly test engineered items in the short beta window.

I guess someone forgot to close Palin's Plaice (sic) ;)

The whingers win again.

Whinge enough and you can get everything changed.

They also "won" when it came to delayed vs. instant ship transfer, it was just another set of "whingers".
So what's your point ?
"Win" some, "loose" some, carry on.
Still better than FD just stubbornly pushing through their own agenda, without considering feedback, and revisiting their own decisions.
