Sounds like an exploration convoy.

we are looking for the site where Granger and his friends got destroyed

we theorise that the uss will be different from the others
like persistent once we find it or an anomaly lvl 1 3 or 5

Uh-huh. Well right panel just said "Discovered new signal source" but there was no actual USS. Is that a bug or?

by now the system we are looking for is definitely the Asterope system BUT witch star is it is being questioned

the gamescom message most likely been edited and that's why its way brighter also the colours are brighter
it makes it possible that either Asterope a or b if its a then the star been saturated up
if its b then the colour was accidentally changed or maybe on purpose

note: not all stars are that vissible on screenshots sadly,
and because its the same system asterope b ac be lined up perfectly too

for now its gonna take a while to find the site with what little manpower we have for searching

If you're travelling too fast the signal source will vanish before you make it to your panel.

How fast were you going at the time? Quite often if you're doing 30c+ you will have passed and gone out of range of the signal source by the time the message has popped up.

Oh ok got it. I think it used to spawn further in front of you if you travel fast.

The Pleiades nebula was red when the video was released. Now it's blue (and an exact match to the nebula in the video graphically from Asterope). Stars and Nebula matching exactly can't be a coincidence. The video was created in Asterope on their in house build at the time. The only two questions are whether it's a signal source that you can find in game, and whether you can find it at the same place the video was created at.

I HOPE you find it as I'm eager to get my guns out.
I'm not able to follow this thread as much as I want to.
I just read your comparison and remembered my own back than, trying to find this spot the same way.
Until MB showed up and I just wanted to get this back up in case you missed it. For whatever it means.

I only just got to Xenohenge last night. Going to spend a little while today exploring it, though I have no thoughts on new tests to do or data to gather. Might just look to come away with some souvenirs. Very exciting to see that the hunt is already on for the next location. I love you guys

Given there's no way to track your location except relative to stellar bodies, I'm sort of hoping it's not an exact position spawn where you have to be really, really close to spawn it
