Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

So, i'm pretty new to the ED World, since a friend introduced me about 5 weeks ago. But i already logged 160h in game (damn...i'm absolutely crazy...although, a very bad flu helped a bit ;) ) and i'm new to the Forum here, so: Hi ;)

Anyway, i was having a look around and also found those clamps. And maybe this sounds cheesy or something like that, but that whole site gives me a very heavy "Stargate: Atlantis" vibe. You know, like a whole City that was build, fueld and so on there. I tried to make a few more detailed shots of those clamps and other stuff around the site http://imgur.com/a/OcPI6

It strikes me as odd, that those structures look a LOT like those doors in the ancient city of Atlantis. Also, the whole layout reminds me of those crystal computers/electronics they had/have. Especially with those repeating patterns. And those small pieces around the main sextet look a lot like injectors for something. I also had the Idea, that those arrays of obelisks remind me of massive databases - which would fall in line with the scan data you are getting. They could be "left overs" of some sort. Or this is some kind of data preservation site...

Anyway, i'm awestruck about the ED Community as a whole...it's unbelievable what you guys do and come up with.

Remember that the devs told us that Thargoids will burn their hands if they touch a human.

That means we are looking for really cold worlds.

We don't know that we're looking for Thargoids in particular do we?
Also that comment about burning them could have been referring to a chemical reaction rather than just temperature. Ammonia burns us, maybe oxygen burns them.

Totally right CMDR, those aren't a game play for masses anymore.Steps are too harsh to be solved by one gamer, yet it's getting hard and hard to solve in a group like this while the story process.Shame, most of the time there isn't a real in-game clue finding at all.You need decoders, deciphers, sound tools, navigation skills; all of them are outside of the game.

All these CMDR's on this thread are really doing a good job on our side.I can't say too nice things for FD's choices of implement those clues and little bread crumbs.

I hope you are not implying that I have navigational skills. Because I have a horrible sense of direction.

I agree about the third party tool use. Frontier need to supply the tools in game. And make some of the tools, such as the DDS, more interact-able.
For example, when you have DDS scanned a planet, and are still nearby, you can enter a Surface Scanner view. Which would look similar the regular surface viewer.
You could switch the view between regular, heat map, and other views that I haven't been able to think of.
The heat map could be used to help locate the volcanic surface features.

Additionally you could focus scan a specific area of the planet. Done by moving a circular cursor around the surface, perhaps a 500 km radius, maybe more, maybe less, maybe adjustable. This would give you an audio-visual feedback similar to the SRV wave scanner. It wouldn't give you an exact location of something, but it would help you to narrow down a search area.

Maybe the next steps will involve a CG for a base for one of the powers at xenohenge. After that an engineer will show up at the site and will be able to make something out of the pattern obelisk data we gathered and build some fancy new mods into our ships. Than our ships will get scanned by the unkown artifacts while traversing through "their" space (pleiades) which will than trigger an ancient defence mechanism because they scan elements and materials of their old enemys in our ships. "They" will than rise from their long sleep on Merope 5c which will be noticed by the mods and codes used in our new shiny mods WHICH WILL THEN lead to the transformation of xenohenge and the other sites into wormhole portals to the 6. dimension and the arrival of "them". And while they will take it out between semselfes we can all build up a second bubble at Jaques because the old bubble will be a huge battlefield between two superpowerful alien species. All because of the work of the Cannon Science community. And the Pilots Federation. Well at least we meant it good.

Still dirty, but a bit better looking:

Here's my own interpretation of the NonoGram. I think I figured out 4 of the dots correctly between the sun. The dots inside the sun I'm pretty sure are correct as well.
At the bottom you have two "doubles" stacked above each other, which is a mistake as there are only 1s.
Trying to figure this myself, but due to the 1s at the bottom left it's a matter of brute-forcing it I am afraid :(

Hi all
Due to the nongram discovery, i go to lave, and start searching a system matching.
If that system is in the middle of the straight line btw lave and eravate, we have
Lave: 75.75/48.75/70.75
Eravate: -42.43/-3.185/59.65

So middle spot is at 16.66/22.8/65.2
I start searching around magna dea system, but find no match.... but i notice that their is a turist beacon named "first thargoid encounter" in lave system, will look tomorrow

Just made it back to the bubble from Col after the search petered out. FWIW if strange things start happening at Ray Gateway in Diaguandri, it might be my fault :p

Pardon me if this sounds stupid, or obvious, but if the coupling at the bottom reads "4c", might this be a B-Class star? (thinking 3 is C, 2 would be B as depicted in the star part of the nonogram)

i reckon its the same head as in the alien crash site smiling green man images...but thats detailed.
see a bird for sure...i also see a argonian shaped creature.....cool find

edit-sorry i didnt reply to the actual poster...the chap who posted the bird image...was for you bud

Triangles = Illuminati
Pilots Federation and owning Galnet/all the systems in our ships = Illuminati

Also.. Everyone keeps questioning why the "walls" of the ruins look like they have been destroyed with parts of them knocked over? No atmosphere. No wind. Maybe meteors? I'm just going to throw this out there...

Looks pretty similar to me.. Wonder who in the Elite universe would have overrun a site like that..? Hm.
