Interestingly enough, Carter Point in Rhea experiences random "technical difficulties" at the moment and there is a lot of Naval activity in the System...

To rule rhea out, it is where some friends of mine have been dropping UAs, but they lost interest but it is still on the list of partially damaged by UA sales list ( i think its stage one) more UAs would probably knock out its services, so unless rhea has some other involvement in this we can rule it out as being involved ( u can cross reference against UA affected stations on galnet reports)

If there are other antennas at the site it's a pretty huge deal.

Someone should invetigate asap.

I can't I'm stuck at Farseer with a bag bug.

Found a Listening post in space while exploring - randomly - got some data referenced 2 other listening posts, gave an approx range and a longitude. Is there somewhere where this stuff is collated? Where can I give details?

I am heading back in to try more of this stuff out. Unfortunately the next sunrise will be quite a while.

I need to find those other towers you mentioned, but I have a fair idea where to look based on the light path. I have the middle and end point, but not the start. I think they are the start point.

This vid gives a good idea of how this will all go down once I get the sun shining on the right alignment...fingers crossed.

Exploration and Science cannot be absolutes at all times because you cant formulate a theory without having the ability to test different hypothesis. Heck we cant even interact with the objects. We can pick them up, drop them, or scan stuff. That is currently the only tools we have in game for science. Sorry forgot one. We can shoot stuff too. Doesnt seem very scientific, but hey its one more way to interact.

But yes, a big ol' light path. I have done these in countless games from Tomb Raider, to Fable and seen in countless movies, but this is the biggest and possibly most difficult. I am not implying this is cliched BTW! I think it's awesome and can't wait to see what the payoff is!

Well at least three of us (probably more will come forward now) have the necessary skill and experience to get somewhere with this :)

By visiting all the listening posts you will get enough clues to locate one of the new bases on a planet somewhere.

This is the system. There is no doubt about.

You have simply not been paying attention to thread, and EDs development in general. Their procedural tech is highly advanced(taking in actually scientific data on how planets form) and it would be highly unlikely for it to create the same planet twice.

I know this goes back quite a few pages so I'm sorry for being way behind here, but I'm really impressed that you managed to triangulate this just from a single freeze frame in a trailer.

Was this basically dependent on an assumption that it was somewhere not that far from the bubble and areas that are already well known in the game?

I guess I'm just wondering, if this ruin had been placed completely in the other corner of the galaxy would you still have been able to triangulate it in this way? I'm guessing it was dependent on recognising star formations that are well known in the areas currently investigated and/or visible from the bubble?

Also, did you narrow it right down to the exact system only using the triangulation, or are there several systems with almost the same star view and you have to know something about the bodies in the system in order to know it's the right one?

Anyway, very well done on this as it took me a few days to realize this, but this is a truly amazine feat, and also shows off what an amazing game this is.

I'm sorry for my ignorance of the issue, but i want to know - how did you find all theese alien artefacts at first time? Its purely by chance by flying over the surface or its a result some surface scanning from orbit? How did you know WHERE to search theese sites? it would be logical to assume that its a result of using surface scanner with placing on surface markler like a 'unknown signal source' marker in space...

I agree. Play googlit ... I paid FD developers for space simulator. In advertising, there is no mention about Google and paper with a pen. I am very sad that it is necessary to leave the game and use the special software (audio analyzers Specta, etc.), for move further in the game.
I'm sure they have to do challenging tasks in the game inside. You can enter the internal tools to solve them. It is possible to unite the players in the game without having to leave it.
