Interesting find indeed, always wondered what these lines were. No, it cannot be coincidence. IMHO the source of the white light ray would be exactly where the "totem" is...
EDIT: Just thinking about the recent Galnet article about the independent loiterers...could this be a hint that all those artifacts should be left exactly where they are to get the thing working? Thinking about reflection here, too.

Sounds like some kind of mining tunnel, might be somewhere on the planet?

this one was davs mining, its a new one. (same base type of site) but different data logs ( one was a debt, this one is about tunnel collapses) no doubt theres more hand placed mining complexes in different parts of the outer parts of the main bubble to be found yet. Theres someone posting below whos found a third one it would seem

Thanks but the listening posts I found were different from this one.
Is there any way of easily triangulating systems by the signal distances?

Visit all 3 get the distances from each one and youll have to bookmark all 3 and then try and find the right system, if you would send me a private message with the first listening post im willing to keep it secret and via PM if u like and ill help u narrow it down. Or if u want to share the community can help find it. up to you though

Rhea is the capital of Felicia Winters, the current interim President. I consider Rhea my "Home System" and occasionally had some Naval ships around. Yesterday there where suddenly two Farragut BC's in the System, along with a huge amount of other Naval Ships and forces, and also a lot of Convoys. One of them was actually consistent of four Type 9, six Anacondas and a lot of other smaller ships. Never seen such a huge force in just one Convoy USS. Also, they all jumped out, when i got in there...
Also, throughout the System are USS with Satellites in them. I know Satellites exist since the Engineers, but i've never seen them in that huge Amount and also not positioned throughout the system AND not four positioned around the station in what looked like very strategic points. Especially since there suddenly was a Farragut Battlecruiser stationed next to the station.
And yes, i've visited the Station since 2.2 came out and introduced those, but they where not there yesterday morning.

What i did was went to one of the systems, looked for systems that matched the distance stated, then estimated the other ones, went to that system and checked distances again to see if it was correct. managed to find it first try.

Interesting pic tok which was also UA affected was the starting system for the mining site some of us just found (3 listening posts about 76ly apart) and messages triangulated a system in the middle with an abandoned mining outpost

Have been doing the bookmark thing, found a system that matched the criteria 34 Virginis. Searched but couldn't find anything.

Oh this should be easy, visit all 3 systems mentioned including the one u started with, each one will have a light year distance approx, bookmark all 3 systems and pin down the system. Ill have a site for you within a few hours
For the record Mel 111 sector BL-O B6-0, HIP 63386, Col 285 Sector CI-V b18-0 ( one will give a planetary number may need to turn that around, another listening post will give u a lattitude and the last one a longdidtude) once u find a system that falls within all 3 rough ranges given ( say 36-38ly from one 45-48ly from another and 55-58ly from the third) bookmark all 3 find a system that falls within the ranges of each of those bodies, find the right planet / and or moon and drop down to the lat / long co ords on that planet and youll find youre content

the listening post schlack posted once someone checks it out im going to bed, the process is easy enough ive explained it above, we should have a third site to anaylyze / visit within a few hours. Maybe all the data logs can be recorded somewhere about 6 per site, there might be a wider story to unfold (probably or possible clues to something) and that might lead somewhere
Might not be ancient ruin related, but it is new content and could lead to storyline breakthroughs and it is sciencey type stuff anyway
Double check you haven't missed a minus sign on one of the coords...I did one in beta and had that trouble due to the minus being just before a line break.
