So what does the x-ray and yankee in the original message tell you, if not to read them in that way?

You do read them in that way, but then 'puzzle'. So you rearrange and reformat to find/fit the solution, which in this case is a nonogam where X becomes groups of [Hor]'s.

Precisely

This doesn't surprise me. if you've seen the recently released artwork digital book it shows a UA that is broken and you can' sort of see inside of it. Looks like rounded canisters in the head part is that what you're seeing?

My brain must be fried. I can't locate the coordinates for the crashed ship. Going to take a break and try again in a few. Congratulations to the CMDR that found it!

May be I'm wrong.
How that alien ship was found? I haven't found any explanations.
I think that this can be just a new form of the announced "persistent" (or semi-persistent, like tip of crash sites) POI's (so may be much more of that kind out there).
However great finding!

Hi all
i noticed that the UA emit some blue particle, and a loud sound.
Are the particle a normal UA effect or is that because of crash ?
As someone pass the record previous:ly post in this thread in spectrogram ?

It's just the hitbox I'm afraid, I remember all the reports when the weapons were first introduced.

Or maybe an Ozric Tentacles gig :D

Hell yeah! :D

3. Jaques had been around for a very long time before he decided to try and jump to Beagle Point. He used to travel around the bubble and a dedicated few used to follow him around. Though he was grossly underused and discarded to the wayside for a long time before his latest journey. In game the stations drives (among other things) have been badly damaged and so they need to be repaired (hence all the CGs).

I had a conversation with one of the FD devs a the last Elite meet and I got the impression, reading between the lines, that it was not inevitable that Jaques was not going to make it to Beagle point, and that it was player action (or inaction) that drove the mis jump. This wasn't stated categorically so I could be wrong, but certainly my impression was that this whole thing where Jaques is located where it is was not planned from the beginning. It is partly evolving by player action.

I should stress that I'm not the world's greatest empath at reading between the lines, so I may be completely wrong, but my personal impression is that certain big elements of the ongoing story are in place, but a lot of details and story elements are changing, being eliminated, or being added, based on player response to different things.

Wonder if enough people firing at once would power some kind of dome shield?

What's the significance of the wrecked SRV at the second crash site? Could it be that humans from the bubble created these alien looking craft and are using them to distribute UAs in some sort of false flag operation?

Oh god, I sound like infowars.com. kill me now.

How comes there is a crashed SRV here??

Currently at the alien crash site #2, it's all dark here and it was rather hard to find for me, no markers here. But what strikes me most is not so much the alien itself, but the presence of this burnt-out or crashed SRV at this place. It has been on the previous screenshots and even on one of the original ones, but here's one of mine, too:

As I went here in solo mode and I didn't crash my SRV yet, it has been here before. What the heck it does make here? Is that alien really a ship or did it come out of the ground? And if so, why is it splattered all over the place? In any case, the entire scene reminds me of the picture from the Gamescom interview...or its aftermath.

Oh, ninja'd...

They used to be octagonal in shape and are made of bio organic matter.

Your screen is way more informative than mine, and probably all the rest to come will be :) I just took some quick ones and rushed to post with trembling hands ;)

Oh yeah don't get me wrong I know that the story isn't shaped in stone and we have certainly changed a lot over the life of ED and I am massively grateful and in awe, especially of the fact I know they've thrown out some things they'd been working for months on because of player actions in the game. As for Jaques... well, I made my feelings very clear at the time ;)

Player action in game (from Jmanis and a couple of others) dropping UAs at the station certainly didn't help and player action out of game probably contributed to it too. Once they realised they had to adapt the story they did it in the best way they could, which was very good, and would have been better if he hadn't of been found in the way he was. It doesn't change anything that happened before, but they recovered very well :D

I just realized that since 2.2 launched I haven't heard anyone listening to the UA to see if the Morse has changed. Has anyone done this yet? Surely our threadnaught host and Morse-master Riz@l has verified this and I just missed it. Curious to know what the critters at the new alien crash site are chittering about.
