I must see that. Do they close the letterbox and hang a closed sign on it?

I'm browsing different types of bar codes to see if there is anything, whichthat would fit the sonogram. Zilch so far...
I've been trying to use this to decipher it:

but I'm not getting anything I understand from it, maybe it needs to be decoded afterwards too though...
in few words: another misterious thing impossible to spot from high orbit.
Guys,
is there a list somewhere maintained about systems where a Unregistered Communications Beacon has been found?
What needs to be done in order to let these beacons to talk?
A.
I still think this barcode style matches up, as long as you count the wider blocks in the obelisk data as sets of two and three “bars”:
I am searching this list for surface POI around interesting planetary features, and i know not to fly under 2k, but how high above 2k can i be? 5? 3? What is the range to be in above 2k where surface POI are still pinged by my ship radar?

Hey guys,
Not sure if this has been seen yet but I was just cruising to Barnard's Loop and saw this nebula with Barnard's Loop. Reminded me of the rings. Not sure if it helps, adds a new perspective, or just looks cool.
A good trick is to get close to the surface. Then pitch up and lift off again, engaging frameshift, but as opposed to lifting into full orbital cruise, try to line your ship up with the horizon. Just don't drop below the 0 degree mark. This way you can get good speed and cover more ground, but maintain a relatively low altitude.Yeah, I’ve spent a few hours now flying over both planets 3 and 5 in the COL 132 SECTOR CN-Z B30-10 but I’ve not seen anything of note yet. And you can’t really search from orbital cruise because it’s just too high up, so searching pretty much means flying over the surface with thrusters at like 15 – 20km up. Which is a very slow way to search even relatively small planets like these.
The proverbial needle in a haystack, but we aren’t even certain that the needle is even IN the haystack!

I've been up towards 20km and had POI's show on my radar. However, it would seem the important stuff (crashed alien ships, ruins etc.) do not show as POI's. . .
Err, that looks.......like a map?
I was looking at that yesterday on my back from the rim. The lower left nebula appear to be outside our galaxy.
