Patch Notes Update 2.2.02 Update

Great news but I really don't have any major issues in game bar the inability to interdict any ship in my FAS regardless of the size of interdictor. I'm beginning to think it's me not the game now.
 
Oooohh... so the wave scanner in the SRV is bugged?.. lol, i thought its working the way it should be, and that FD just made material gathering a little harder :D

Look, if there are people who can't play game because it is a bit harder, then it should be bugged.

Seriously though, I suspect as it is gameplay design not a bug, it's change will be part of other release if ever.

I guess you didn't like people doing long range passenger runs eh?

Might be time to buy a smaller nerf bat, FD.

As I mentioned previously, people with auditory problems are struggling now. Please see my invisible anaconda post earlier in this thread for an example of how broken this scanner 'update' is.

I'm pretty sure it is a bug because when I had this problem after relogging a couple of times suddenly my wave scanner was working as intended again

I don't think the change is working how it was intended though. They reduced the total number of traces it will show, but they should be discarded based on distance with closest being shown. If you see the screen shots of people sat infront of rocks with no trace on the scanner that cannot be "as designed".

Awesome, this should fix some of the more annoying things. Pity the SRV's wave scanner apparently hasn't been fixed yet though and I was also hoping for a fix for the lacking flight control voices when using a docking computer.
 
What the hell Frontier, no fix for an unexpected space loach exception when inexplicably dressed as a cowboy? - you guys suck........

I don't know what sort of convoluted system they are using right now to decide which items to display. Personally (as a coder myself) I would determine all items within a certain distance of the SRV every ten seconds and only show those on the scanner. If it had to discard any, it should be the ones furthest from the SRV at time of check. Yahtzee!

Edit : Maybe that ^ was the intention, but somebody put a < instead of a > ...?

Could we get any elaboration around "- Fix low level network hang", this wouldn't be the one where an NPC is killed and two out of four wingmen freeze up for three minutes until game shutsdown, or they force quite ?

Mostly happened when engaging an npc launched fighter (and the wanted bug is still in btw, didn't see anything about that) but also often enough engaging a wing of npc's.
 
Thanks FD, some very welcome fixes here, hopefully I can stop being a glorified bus driver now and start taking some other missions.
 
So getting caught carrying wanted criminals is now devoid of consequences, nice...

Not quite. You will still be attacked by System Security ships after the scan, just not instantly killed by the station itself... which I know was occurring because it happened to me once. You should also now know for sure beforehand if one of your passengers is wanted so you'll know to try and avoid the scan.
 
- Prevent spinning ship while docked and using VR mode with Rift CV1

..... there is VR here now in the xbox version????
 
- Update the maths around hyperspacing to a Neutron star with jet cones to properly deal with avoiding said cones, also push the arrival distance for neutron stars back out a little to avoid running straight into the drop-out radius. Note that you'll still hit them pretty fast, but not unfairly so as long as you're on the ball

As I was advised to avoid neutron stars until reconnect issue solved, I'd just like to clarify, we will no longer be dropped into the neutron star on reconnecting to the server?
 
Can also confirm that Biotech Conductors are still being offered as the material reward for nearly all missions [sour]

No fix for weapon colours being per ship instead of per weapon? [that was seriously lazy] :(

I didn' try it, as I've a "red" beam on my Vulture but that's the only one laser installed on the ship... was that broken then?
