We are spoilt for input devices!

Youse kids don't know just how good you've got it!

These days are great for PC gaming. Been playing around with various toys for input controls with ED, and I think I've settled on the following combination:

Saitek x45 stick/throttle
Targus wireless numeric keypad
Roccat Power Grid on a Nexus 10 (also used for casual web browsing while in Superdrive) for some commands
Voiceattack for some commands
FacetrackNoIR/Opentrack for headlook

What combinations are you lot using then?

now my X-55 has arrived, will be getting used to that :)

N10 with Power Grid - i used it for DayZ, not sure how it will be useful with E:D - i do have Sopley's BPC Tool on it tho'

Voice Attack will made redundant by the X-55 now

and using the EDTracker for headlook :D

T-Flight hotas x
Edtracker for headlook
Voice attack if I can be bothered to figure it out

Side note,
Yes today's input devices are great go back to 1988 and what did you have a quickshot with that bendy metal that snapped after a short while rendering your expensive joystick useless.

Keyboard/mouse plus Full HD monitor here. Still amazing experience. Maybe some simple HOTAS and OR (consumer version) in future, but no rush.

Thrustmaster WARTHOG HOTAS, Saitek Combat pedal pro, TrackIR4, XB360 Joypad, Microsoft Sidewinder Strategic Commander, Voice Attack, My keyboard, Intuous 4 Graphic tablet (I love to do trading with that, feels pretty cool!).

CH Fighterstick.

Customised CH Pro Throttle (when the rotary encoders arrive).

Edtracker for... headtracking.

Rudder pedals: not got them yet, but either CH Pro if I can find a bargain or just possibly build some.

Oculus CV1. When it's released.

back in my day we had to input on a rubber keyboard, with only 40 working keys... if we wer' lucky!

The height of input luxury was a Kempston Joystick that didn't go left because we'ed been playing Daley Thompson's Decathlon with it.

Should have used the small ruler / comb rock for Daley Thompson decathlon. Had to replace my spectrum keyboard myself because of that game, was my very first computer repair!

*cough* mouse and keyboard

Sidewinder 2 whilst waiting for X52 pro to come back in stock
Keyboard for secondary actions, thrusters, lights etc

Bit like in 1984 when I had a 3rd party self centering joystick (as the offical Acorn one didn't self center and was harder to play on that than keyboard) as well as the keyboard on the BBC.
