The location is named Orion's Folly now, system is Col 285 Sector UZ-O c6-9. Neither Rift nor Ruins, in fact only 170ly from Sol [noob]
You guys ever hear about how miners would take canaries with them deep into a mine shaft so that, if the canary died, they knew the air was foul and could evacuate?
Well ... call me a canary.
I flew to the edge of the "Forbidden Zone" on Eafots LZ-H b10-0 D 1. Took me a few tries to get close enough without CTD. I landed, hopped into my SRV, and drove into the zone. Now every time I launch the game I get an immediate CTD.
As soon as I can get into the game without crashing ... I'll let you guys know. Meanwhile, I'll be flying the second account. There's a new CG calling me to Colonia.
