Fun idea: lets psycho-analyze Chris Roberts based on his sci-fi characters. In his story:
Our closest allies are less organized and less moral than us, but we really appreciate how much they care about money.
Our on-again off-again enemies wont let us live down our mistakes, but really appreciate us deigning an interest in their confusing culture. We can be friends as long as we're competitive with each other and no one does better than the other.
Our greatest enemies are the mindless savages that just want to destroy everything we've made and take it for themselves. (He could rename the Vandaal to the De'smaar and we could all have a laugh)
My conclusion: sheltered from the wider, deeply sensitive to perceived inferiority, with a persecution complex.

Powered up Star Citizen, still says 2.5 and doesn't ask to download 2.6. Getting into the game main menu, when I try to enter the game it gets stuck on the loading screen for ever. I read a few posts from others saying that the 2.5 servers are down. Seems a bit odd they would do that with out having something for us to play.
Well you do have the loading screen, not sure why the complaint.
Seriously, if there servers go down can you at least play solo if you really wanted to poke about in a ship?
Speaking of which, when FD goes offline for patches and whatnot, are we still able to get in and do the training missions? I think we can. They should expand that. Maybe also give us a hanger to browse through.
Probably hoping people will stump up the $10 sub fee to get access to 2.6 just so they can play the damn game they've already paid for.

In the UK, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day are public holidays, generally speaking employers will not "force" employees to work on these days, unless it is in their contract that they have waived rights in this regard (e.g. my brother works shifts in a large factory and is in on New Years Eve, going into New Years Day - but he gets extra pay and time off as a benefit)
Yep. If a holiday falls on a weekend the day off gets pushed to the beginning of the week - so Mon/Tues for Xmas, and Mon for NY this time round.
The major difference as far as I am concerned (as I usually travel over the period) is that the rail system only shuts down on 25th/26th no matter where the day falls.
I am curious to see if the current information of the Vanduul being just UEE propaganda.

Though the talk from CR on the last stream on Episode Three exploring the origins of the Vanduul, with them mention of precursors I will be disappoints if they turn out to be a created soldier race that killed their creators

My bet is on "uplifted", not "created", so pretty much more generic Krogan.
I do not. You'd think with my golden ticket and being one of the very first people to *pledge* I wouldn't be left out. But I guess money talks more.
If you don't have a PTU option on your launcher (located just underneath the Star Citizen logo which is top-left) then you can't play 2.6 yet.

Well, he did mark those screenshots as coming from fabled 3.0 version, which is supposed to have planets.
