Any chance you would be able to comment on where you guys are at with turning the Formidine Rift/Conflux/Hawkin's Gap content back on? Us lot over at the Rift thread would really appreciate a bone chucked our way so as we can make decisions about what to do - pointless coming back to the Bubble if it's being fixed tomorrow, but pointless sticking around in the Rift if it's going to be 2.3 before it comes back on.

Hey guys, I was wondering - for the active obelisk scanning, what is the cooldown time before you can scan again? I've scanned all of them and am back at my first obelisk, and it's been about an hour now. Should I relog? I've heard that relogging will re-randomize all the obelisk scans again so I want to avoid that, but I don't want to wait for hours on end for the thing to become scannable again 
what in general are the rules for this thing as well? I heard about it from a friend and have been following the spreadsheets on the front page and have only made about 5 combinations (all of them already discovered). Playing in solo to minimize lag.

I'm not convinced about a single-site being the key. According to Riz's data there are 34 discrete data pieces in the current site, out of 101; which seems to hint at 3 sites.
As you say - with other Cmdrs around it just muddles what you're testing. The delayed success messages (where you don't see the ancient data until you scan the next obelisk) just muddle it further.
But there may be something more to the beacons. There are 5 ancient items lying about, corresponding to 5 ancient data types and 5 data patterns, so the ancient relic seems to be the odd one out. Why would they add a 6th 'useless' item like that? I did notice that a tablet let me unlock a piece of Language data, while having a tablet and a relic unlocked a 2nd piece of language data at the same obelisk (#10), but given the data patterns seem to constantly change it's hard to tell if "we" are making this change, or if it's random or based on some other non-understood mechanic.
I'm going to toss a theory out here, but after observing the activity of the obelisks in open. I would have to guess that the configuration of active obelisks changes based on the level of activity in the area.
Having played several hours out here in what I guess is the quietest time on open, the configuration is that of the more recent map we have floating around.
When I managed to jump on during peak hour the configuration of active obelisks was completely different then when people started to leave the configuration gradually changed back to normal.
During the peak hours I managed to grab a couple more, but have had zero success at more data once everyone left.

Are we sure this isn't just bugs and the patterns should be the same for everyone?
It seems utterly implausible that they can both be different for everyone and at the same time encouraging multi-player interaction and sharing of the results.
Sad to say I'm calling bugged. It's time someone in QA and project management got a proper firecracker up the donkey - that's a bunch of releases on the trot and they're out of excuses.

I am not convinced. In fact, I am getting annoyed at some patterns appearing to hold true, and others not - I need to run some tests, but I wonder if the order of what is in the hold of the SRV matters?

No one has ever been inderdicted by a Guardian.
That is a Thargoid. There can be more than one alien race.
Only been mentioned a few times...

Bringing this over from the discord. Thanks to Floc, Kaltern, Zenith, and Kal for getting this up to date. And its already being useful as someone was able to report an obelisk that was not one of the original active and give us History 16. Obelisk G8 with Relic + Casket. Needs confirming though.
As we have started to exhaust the "active 15" obelisks at the site. We have decided to move to a new map and spreadsheet that represents every obelisk on site. This way, when new obelisks become active (as they have been in open/pg) we have a way to track them as well. This new map also reflects Zenith's findings that certain groups seem to interact with a specific key artifact.

Do we know that for sure?
The distortion effect around their drives
could be electromagnetic interference,
so strong it affects and "bends" light.
Thargoids were known to use some sort of drive like our FSDs but can operate at every low speeds. so its a gravity drive of sorts.
