You give me a general area on a body, and I might check it out, I've already been running around this system and nearby ones. without a proper pointer, it'll be down to blind luck finding anything, heck this ruin still takes some getting to because it's not marked, and this is a relatively small body, but even at my boost speed of 420m/s, it's a surface area I'd rather not cover.
I finally got all 36, no need for me to submit to the spreadsheet because that's what I used as a guide, everything matches, I'd be all excited, but I'm not, I know when I hand these in, that will be it, I truly hoped that getting all 36 here would move the mystery forward, but obviously a lot of commanders got 36 long before me, and still nothing worth noting, great, I got another 36 million, sighs* I don't need the creds, I need the story to move forward!
What if the obseliks and their data combinations and the 100mil credit mission to catch em all is the end of this particular storyline. Something to consider, that said the alien interdictions are goiing nowhere fast, i guess we just wait on frontier now for the next hand holding exercise that passes as a storyline
Another rambling post from me - Apologies. I've been trying to explain my theory but it's difficult to explain in three dimensional space. I was going to draw a diagram, but I decided to borrow my Kids' Geomag instead...
I showed this image earlier - a Metatron Cube overlaid on top of the Ruins site. It does not match up perfectly due to the planetary curvature and the way that screenshots are taken, but I believe that each object in the site sits on an intersection or line (except one of the orbs...) and that Site A sits directly inside one of the circles, whilst Site F sits on the intersection between the two Tetrahedron's that make up the Star Tetrahedron:
I say "Z" axis as I believe that the site at G is a targeting range for proper plane alignment, as Barnard's Loop aligns and fits perfectly in the slot as viewed from Site A - I don't know what the secondary ray (in green) is for:
I am of the opinion that Site A is representative of the current Ruin's Site, as the line running downwards from it indicates the tetrahedron is pointed towards the viewer, thus the plane that Site A sits on is the blue triangle face in the Geomag pictures.
Terrible way of explaining it, I apologise, but I need help working out the mathematics of this, I know that Site F is basically on the short side of an right angled triangle (z-axis). The Site A plane appears to be aligned between

I still love this haphazard of a storyline plot. They gave us a ruin, confused us to the point of deliberate hairloss, but forgot to mention anything about the lore or the reason why this ruin is actually there. we get to see a story behind the current clues but none of that point to uncovering more clues or even another location. Does anyone get the feeling that fdev are stalling to write in a storyline that might fit? Currently pete tong on the solo mode for the ruins and private/open play its just a guessing game as to why more obelisks are lighting up, no one has a theory and our lord and powerful masters fdev are keeping very quiet. Not really much a game when your not even given a clue on how to get more data, just a heres the ruins you figure it all out routine which i think most of us are just waiting to see if the tinfoil nerds can figure it all out in time for the next installment in this dreary story plot.
So as we all now know all the combinations for the artefacts and obelisks, I am finally closing the Ruins Survey.
Well, firstly you guys did an absolutely superb job - thank you all for taking part and recording very accurate data!
We can now state that all available Obelisk/Artefact combinations have now been confirmed from using the survey data, and other various sources of scans made by other groups of players.
You can find the list of combinations from http://tinyurl.com/h3sxadg (thanks to CMDR Mortlestiltskin and his group).

Ironically, I also had thoughts that sometime it feels like FDev just picking the best tinfoil theory on forum and then adjust their next puzzle piece after it, and not the other way around. )
Anyhow, I checked coordinates above on galmap, and unfortunately there is nothing at both ends. It is 3 AM here, so I probably stop at that, but I have a number of ideas on what to do with those numbers. I will try tomorrow, unless some1 beats me to that. If some1 wants to pitch in and knows basic math, then try to find coordinates for the top of three-sided pyramid if we assume that current coordinates provided by Zeb are its foundation. Afterall, guardians liked their triangles, pyramdis, number 3... and probably threesomes. Good luck Commanders.
My bet is they are patiently waiting for someone to find the right Herald article. Trouble is, unless its in a popular grind spot there will be few eyeballs, and fewer looking.
Not quite - you will probably want to find an equilateral triangle. That would strongly narrow the search! Probably down to a few systems, depending of the side lenght...

You can click on the dots to look at its info or the combinations required.
(Grey: inactive, Yellow: active but no combinations discovered yet, Green: combination confirmed)
I just got my first Adjudication Error, wonder if it related to witnessing how bad the multi cmdrs in an instance works(or doesn't), ie a ship just appeared inside a other ship(neither were mine and both were landed), telefragged!
I assume it always seemed to takes so long to enter the instance when there were other cmdrs because it was trying to figure if there would be a collision, turns out they don't really check for that anyway!
This was explained in the livestream near the end.
The Adjudication Server is for missions, it tends to crash when people stack missions like killing the same type of thing. The server needs to credit each mission with its +1 within a certain timeframe or you might get a crash.
My guess in the case of the ruins, rather than one commander multiple similar missions we have lots of commanders with the same mission all in the same spot. With the data bleed it potentially needs to credit 10+ commanders at the same time if someone scans and the rest are on a ship and still need that data. It starts crediting people until the time runs out and those it perhaps doesn't credit in time get the boot.
in a pg right now with my friends three of us. 50 and 46 in group c are active for us... Anyone have an idea why? its not in any spreadsheet or image. I am setting at 14 data from scanning solo's and scanning group E3... i can not get any others to activate... another two were H 12 and 22... 22 did not give us the correct data according to the images and the spreadsheets...
