"“With the help of other like minded pilots I hope to use the various data types to unlock the Guardian monolith network and use it to find other sites.”"

So basically, once the new CG is completed we are likely to get the coordinates of at least one further if not all ancient sites? Either we are simply completely on the wrong
track and FD is helping us out finding the other sites with this CG goal or this was planned all along as the sites can't be found naturally unless by accident or bruteforcing?
I guess it's probably the first one. They noticed how we are struggling with finding other sites and do this CG so we can get coordinates of at least one other site after the CG
ended.

I suspect this was their contingency plan all along. Give us a chance then nudge us in the right direction.

Hello guys and gals, haven't posted recently because thread got huge and I can't keep track of everything.

One thing caught my attention. I thought the Soontill "crater" was unique and the result of some kind of cataclysm, but I just crossed this planet with lots of similar "craters"

Soontill:

And this is the planet I just visited, in the Chana system. Chana 2.

If this was already talked or if this kind of sightings are common on several planets, just ignore the message and sorry for the inconvenience

Let me make this easy....

You're a Mostly Harmless poster, who's been inactive since end of 2015, came back 4 days ago, and now claim you've "solved the ruins"

OK I'm not as young as once was and don't game as much as I used too. I generally don't get involved with forum posting (I'm starting to think it was maybe a bad idea start) but I was captivated by the ruins thing when I heard of it the other day and thought I'd give it a go and contribute. It was a pure fluke of timing that allowed me to witness the alignment this Monday gone, and hence decode the ruins.

In case you don't realise, this isn't this forum's first rodeo of this sort. This are examples of what proof looks like... so unless you've got something more tactile, you're probably not going to get much traction.

Not trying to be harsh, because there's every chance you are legit. But you gotta back it up with something solid if you want anyones buy-in.

Now I know that other bodies in Synuefe XR-H D11-102 also have dish like craters, as I have discovered here, I realise I may not have the correct body but I'm sure I have the correct system, the whole place sings like the ruins and I'm over 200lys away. If I find something new I'll let you know, until then I'll sign off.

Perhaps if you give someone a chance to actually put together the proof they will post it, he posted 2 theories over the last week or so, no-one took any notice, he posted something more today, he gets instantly attacked and gives up on helping others. Don't blame him.

If anything those putting him down for trying to contribute are the trolls.

Really? I have to disagree with you. He posted 2 theories, ok, but then he is like: " Ok guys I solved it! Thanks MB for the great puzzle, that 4 digit code something somethingsomething". That is typical " I know something that you don't, and I wont tell you what it is" behavior. If he really discovered something it would be like " Hi guys I found out that at xx:xx on Monday "something" happened at the ruin site, this gave me "that" information, then i followed it to system X and now i see a planet that looks like it could be their homeworld. Here are some screenshots: " or something like that. And yes, the fact that he is Mostly Harmless does mean something, You can't tell me that if you see rizal72 posting something without currently providing proof, and you see a random dude that has never posted in this thread post something like that, you would have equal base to believe them. Also he was given a chance to give us proof, and his proof was " It is in my previous post". So the proof of my theory is my theory?
I am following this in real time and I didn't want to post and to create more spam but here I am....

So Please until he has given us proof, or someone sees something on Monday, lets stop talking about this? It is toxic and is causing us to argue among each other. (And yes I am aware that with this post I am arguing as well)

P.S. read the QUOTE, before flooding me with PMs... ;)

Please do, but with something concrete next time instead of "I solved the ancient site, here I found a crater which looks like a satellite dish".

Just in case you didn't know, but dish like craters are typical and common on almost every non atmospheric planet.

Large craters aren't unique to that system.

Regarding the "dish" theory:

Are massive craters (and I mean massive) common or are they rare?
In the ruins system there are two pairs of planets that orbit one another (which as I said before might be represented by the ruins two circles connected by the wall). I took a quick tour around these and heard this "singing" others have mentioned while in the craters.

I didn't look to hard and didn't find anything other that this sound. Its possible that these are in fact dishes and are reflecting this audio from a far off source.

For reference, I had the ingame music muted which I why I was surprised to hear it.

Well... this is just my personal estimation of the situation, but I suspect this has got more to do with the big player base that this particular mystery has been opened up to. There'll be a lot of people who have gone to the ruins, done the scans, hit a dead end, and aren't the type who get involved in the puzzles (well, the more meta puzzles anyway). If it was just all of us we'd probably be left with it for a long while until it got figured out, but FD are likely having to move the plot on more quickly on this one due to the wider set of the player base who are involved.

Don't suppose you've got a recording of this 'singing' so I know what to listen for. I've never noticed anything unusual soundwise at the ruins, but usually play computer games with the volume quite low.

LOL, that made me laugh :D

Why can't you realize what you are doing? Just tell us where the crater (system, planet and coordinates) is and someone can check your theory. I'll be the first to apoligize.

That how proof works, man.

I'm going off the pic he posted and they don't look anything special. I saw many of them while searching the Pleiades for barnacles. I don't know what this "singing" is though.

I would be happy if anyone can upload this "singing near craters" (not the once from near obilisks) so we can maybe identify if that is a normal sound or not. Because people sometimes claim to hair strange sounds, when those are actually normal sounds.
Btw. large craters are extremely common, even in dish form. There is nothing special about the craters in that system except that some claim they "sing" although I haven't seen any video of that yet or haven't had time to check that myself.

I don't unfortunately but I am tempted to head back there an capture a video to post.

I was quite surprised at the time especially as music was on mute as I said but I can't rule out other sources such as general ambient "mood" sounds although I cannot recall ever hearing it anywhere else.

Also there have been a couple of threads from people like myself who would quite like to be involved with the ruins mystery but felt cut out of it due to the nature of the puzzles. Both the Ram Tah mission and this community goal seem to be an attempt by Frontier to engage the wider player base.
