Dumb question. How do you get the data required for the CG? I was at the ruins, I scanned obelisks, ancient items, and i have 20 entries in the mission, but i don't have any data for the CG.

Its such a shame you cant "Bookmark current location" when Zoomed in on the planet or moon your on.

No idea why I capitalised zoomed but it looked good so left it :)

I've got an odd issue
Found the system on the GalMap (i've been here before) - but I seem to be missing the planet!

Anyone else had this ?

Could someone (who has possibly started the CG for the ruins) please explain: is the current 1M Cr/scan for historical (etc.) data now off; or is it the same thing? Or is it for Alpha/Beta (etc.) data; and if the latter, of the old mission for scanning data now off?

AFK ATM so could do with some guiding light...

Yeah, it's a real pain locating the coords, but I think I can spot a large crater with a smaller one that points to the ruins.

We have FTL travel but no GPS. Maybe it's because GPS depends on satellites, but there should be a way to set planet coordinates based on its poles, rotation, etc.

We won't get GPS on planets until we see Google spaceships flying past mapping all the territories.

At which point they've scanned and explored all planets and there's nothing left for players. Oh dear <FACE PALM> ;)

If I know anything about wine snobs, it's a 5kg bottle of wine and 995kg of packaging and miscellany so you don't look poor.

sooo... basically what we doing in ED now is a training ground for future google employees. :)

Well there are 4 beacons, half a byte or 16 combinations. I've tried a lot of these and I am sure they've all been tried many times.

Not sure anyone's tried something like - light a beacon, scan an obelisk, light a beacon, scan an obelisk, etc.

Had he actually provided any kind of proof that would fit any scientific method, then nobody would be saying a thing.
Had the person even said here is my wacky Idea that might work but is completely un testable or unfounded, then sure that is fine.

This person Said that they found them here is a picture of an crater of which there is an uncountable high power number of exact duplicate craters due to random impact and angles in the galaxy as proof. Also here is some other random time and some other such nonsense about a 4 number code.

That is very very specific information to provide with no proof.

Are you the friend trying to assist in the Trolling? Either way I am done with this conversation as we all know that the claim is a dupe or boasting but definitely not scientific.

I think the best way of looking at this is... Read it. Enjoy it. Get what you can out of it. Enjoy the fact that the other person, no matter what they might think or believe is genuinely enjoying the game as much as you. They have interest, and many hands make light work. I know me. I know im overexcitable! Im like a kid in a sweetshop when I find something I remotely even consider new. And, as such, I come across as the "Man who cried wolf" But I don't mind being tagged with that. You know why? It's just a bloody game - and in that sense... Why not act like an idiot from time to time? Loosen up guys n' gals.

If I was as serious as I have to be in RL... Come on now.

I've enjoyed meeting people here. It's been great fun! Those that know me know that I love puzzles. I might be right. I might be wrong. And I TOO come across as an when I am excited. The whole experience is rather like walking through the halls of a mental asylum, with a view to having fun, and gaining those special little titbits.

Lighten up. Enjoy each others company!
