I think it is more likely to be the points on a tetrahedron (triangle based pyramid) that are on a sphere.
That would then be 4 points.
There is no reason to assume all the sites will have the same number of obelisks or that some may be duplicated across sites.

I've been thinking on this for a while, and I thought I'd share.

If FD wants to add planetary searches and content we will need better tools for the job. Imagine for a second somebody comes with a second location for the ruins, located in a 5.000km radius planet, but nobody knows the coordinates. We could have 1000 commanders searching the area and we will most likely miss it. Right now even simple navigation is difficult, we don't even have any kind of navigational chart or a bearing lock for straight line flight. Right now I'm at Synuefe trying to fly straight and I will probably end up kilometers from my intended target.

We need better scanners too. Scanners that offer geological detailed comopostion shown on the surface map of a planet, geologic activity POI's, maybe even anomaly signals... things like that. Not the "X marks the spot" sort of thing, but maybe something to point us in the general direction of the actual content. Maybe even some infrared or heat map filters on our hud for low altitude flight... You know, 2017 3303 stuff

I'm all for wild exploration, but sometimes I feel I'm flying a downgraded Spitfire in space. And I think this will improve pure exploration too.

Not a rant, I actually like things the way they are, but everything can be improved.

Sorry for the offtopic, just sharing some thoughts.

but we are certain in our thoughts that there is more on this planet?

If that is the case, why not put together groups, and everyone drive/fly in a heading (away from north pole/away from the current ruins). we have enough people we could theoretically cover each degree, or at the very least every 10 or so

that would be nice, but given that it took them (what 2 weeks?) so much time to even reply to a bug thread for the current missions, I doubt we will see that any time soon.
I VERY much agree though, the blind search is tedious.

Given the surface area, 360 commanders each taking a 1 degree increment is still highly likely to miss anything of importance, this is especially so if the target location is equatorial, there would be a huge margin between 2 commanders, we need better tools for surface searches.

in German is the titel of this "Entschlüsslung der uralten Ruinen".
in german said that titel that are more than 1 ruin!

My german is a little rusty, but here it goes:

Ein Gebaeude, dass zerstoert ist, ist eine "Ruine", aber stelle Dir vor mehrere zerstoerte Gebaeude in der Umgebung koennten als "Ruinen" bezeichnet werden. Wenn wir uns die "Uralten Ruinen" ansehen, sehen wir mehrere zerstorte "Strukturen", also koennte es sein, dass dieses das einzige Ziel auf dem Planeten ist. Macht das Sinn?

What "first map" do you mean? Do you have a link? On all maps I got the closest ones to beacon 2 are obelisk sites A and B, both equally far away.

He's talking about the pre patch map. There was an extra group near F, E was positioned differently and there were two more next to A.G was only one group

Right. I thought another one. Probably this one here, where the red part indicates where the SRV was in the trailer.

Yeah, you would can call a complex of withered structures either "eine Ruine"(a ruin) or "die Ruinen"(the ruins, mostly in the context of "the ancient ruins", "the ruins of Gizeh", etc.) It does not have to mean a Plural. You cannot really tell.

Also: That is 1.2k "tons" of data handed in. I think I will continue the grind tomorrow. Actually my first CG that I actively participate in, hopefully I will still be top ten tomorrow :D

I decoded unknown probe message! Triple-encoded. C'mon FD...

It is some ancient city, 98% this one. Valid info. You will like it very much, I have not seen this images nowhere... I will try to superimpose on known pictures, an post a pictures later this evening (in 2 hours cca, dam rl).

This is not a joke, my eyes are bleeding.

I don't understand why people jump in to say they have a breakthrough before they're ready or able to share it. Are you just very excited?

U can call me stupid, but I signed up for that new CG. Flew to meene with roughly 120 alpha to epsilon data packages, clicked on the claim rewards - and got nothing. Yet also the patterns remain in data storage !
Might it be that only scans AFTER sign up count ????

go to contacts --> science contacts

Look under the Contracts tab

What would be even better would be for Ram Tah to tell us how to solve the puzzle, or at least give us a hint at the end of the CG.

You know, for me, the worst thing about this CG is that over the past few days i've done so many scans that i've filled up my data locker twice and had to delete a ton of these things. I've probably vaporized 7-800 items of scan data just so i could keep going.
