Today, there have been ques everywhere. But it is weekend so perhaps that is why? Indeed I didn't loose anything but it is highly illogical to travel then being denied the bonus because the station can't handle the parking traffic.
At Russel Ring, I had to cancel the docking request 3 times, to avoid them time out today.
Well, it's a bit of an exploit, but if you REALLY need it, you can just quit to main menu and change modes.
Well, I guess if we want immersion, we will have to accept traffic jams.
Ouside the starter area, Powerplay HQs and community goals, they are a rare sight. Last time I had to wait for docking was during the Cemiess gold rush.
I totally agree, nothing wrong with the ques. I have no idea how these missions are generated but they could improve it by not offering bonuses on mission going to a space station that have been busy let say the last hour? There are many ways to do things but I'm not impressed by the current system.
Is that Russell Ring in Eravate? If so it's a good idea to move away from the starter systems where it will be less busy (assuming you have the jump-range).At Russel Ring, I had to cancel the docking request 3 times, to avoid them time out today.

Rep (bonus) for not logging out to menu to reload the instance. That's honest play and way to go, Commander.
I think it's more fun if the universe gets in the way when you're trying to complete an updated mission. It is a bonus after all, and if anything the basic delivery is almost too easy .. but the logic of the OP extends to, 'no one should interdict me because I've been accepted a cargo mission' too and I think that's unrealistic. NPC's or other players don't know you need the pad, only you and the mission giver do. NPC's and other players might even try to stop you delivering on time but it would get really boring, really quickly, if the whole galaxy parted like the Red Sea, so you get a bonus every time?
You can abandon missions. And if it turns out they go to a station where you can never get a pad, as a pilot you'd probably see that getting in the way of your income, so might move to a quieter star system where it's easier to do business?
Defintely rep for not dock-logging though, big respect for that. o7
Indeed it is, but I'm too scared to move on yet. I got this game a few days ago. I'm still not sure what the war is about and not sure how transport business will affect my travels later on..
What war is that Cmdr?
and transport business? (I don't understand)
Being a peddler, you know. Transporting stuff. I will assume transporting stuff for one faction, will mark myself as an enemy of the opposite faction. Various factions going at each others throats, and then there is the federation, pirate factions and so on.
