Perfect, thank you CMDR. Which direction is rising please?

But it's only a game! yes it may have it's problems, but in the end it's a game, something to do to get enjoyment out of playing it.
If you're not enjoying this bit of the game then go & do something else.
No time now. Will report later tonight and post a master key in 4 hours.
So show some courtesy if You cannot show respect.
You have no chance if You dont have Pareidolia.
This city is a huge galaxy map. Huge!
Edit: I am not talking about obelisks. I do not touch them.
On the other sites, did anyone follow this line of thinking?
Given the Guardians fascination with geometric shapes (see Culture 12) and the predominance of tetrahedrons/triangles at the site, could the other ruins be here :

Regarding the discussion about scanners: Maybe they could introduce a second level of surface scanning (call it surface mapping for example), where you are able to scan from the orbit. You have to be in an orbit and you have a scanner-cone with a certain diameter.
Something like this:

When you find a persistant POI, like the ruins -> "Bing"
You need a third scanner type, and the progress is being showed in "%". And the size of the scanner-cone is engineerable. Payout is slightly higher than for surface scans. Could push exploration to a new level, and could help us finding stuff, it could also help FD making things more complicated for us to find.
Just my 2 cents though.
I've taken the liberty of posting on the suggestions forum a request for improvements to planetary surface search capabilities, quickly summarising what I read in this thread, and posting the urls of the relevant posts on this thread (apologies if I missed any).
I've received some encouraging comment and rep, so what I would suggest is add there any new thoughts you have for requiremnts/better mechansims, and/or also how it could be balanced to avoid making surface search too easy. Then bring it to DB, MB & Sandro's attention by whatever means necessary (pm, mention in livestream, Galnet post, whatever)- if we want something doing then we need to make sufficient noise to get our case heard.
The first suggestion I made was 23 months ago, there's an entire stickied thread which has been updated for almost as long. If they haven't budged for that long then, as I've said before I doubt they will. I'd love to be proved wrong.

Excellent ideas, have some rep. I´d like to fire science probes or drop auto-labs on the surface instead of finding already existing ones, though. Is there a thread of yours, discussing this topic?
Would military slots make you happier?
