back in ship and running ~2.5km high using debug cam to look around for anything like clusters of objects or mounds that look like the old site
music is also muted for now

Not sure why you're quoting me.

... the planetary music is amazing. I would suggest exercising caution to identify by music, especially if you don't normally have it on, because the music varied and mixes in different ways.".

Because in this post you advise people to be cautious of mistaking normal game music with ruin sounds. If they turn it off, that cant happen, but any ruins noise should still be audible, because it exists outside the main score. That, and a lot of people seem to dispute the idea that the ruins have their own sounds.

Yes, which is why it would have been better to quote one of those... oh it really doesn't matter.

Turn off all external music.

Turn in game music (master) to 0 volume.

The ruins (site 1) makes sounds that are NOT from the games main score.

Now I wish we'd worked out the music (don't think I ever heard it, but I usually play my own). I'm also getting faint morse-code like sounds, but don't know if I should investigate (no great directionality to it), or ignore. If we only knew how far out from the ruins you can hear it (if it is indeed indicative).

on SYNUEFE XO-P C22-17 C 4 AT -31.8237 / -128.8025 and I can confirm a glitch (sudden but very short screen freeze). I'm in the SRV going slow.

Update: still no ancient ruins sounds on the scanner yet.
Addendum: Every-so-often the sound cuts out for a second (all of it). Has been going on a lot ever since the first patch.

Strange. No more pois since i got back in my ship. Currently scouting along a canyon track i found. goes on for a bit. Im also running with the system where the first site was found. Im running on the side of the planet where it is visible above the horizon

Also please remember to pick uf a few of each first site items in case the new sites have new items! If there are new items bring back here. You know logical stuff.

Relax. Yours was the most recent one on the subject, is all. No personal insult intended or implied.

I usually hear it faintly at just abpout visual range when approaching the ruins at low altitude. 1-2km tops. Not definitive or measured, but I'm at site 1 now, so will check soon.

Sounds rcorded here:

Ambient sounds at ruins with and without music (music turned on at about half way ish)

As I've said elsewhere in this thread - singing/music may be overselling it, but its a distinct sound.

i guess we also play the game of 'if i were and ancient civilization who wanted to build a colony in this system, where would i put it?'

sorry i get trickles of updates from here at work... i check when i have a moment before i do more work so i am a little behind... Thanks...

Don't feel bad. It's hard to keep track of where we are. When in doubt go to the first page of this thread and you'll see information being collated there.

So not just me.... I entered a support ticket for this one.

Concerns me if there's some Morse code or audio I find but my recording will have it cut out.
