THE FORMIDINE RIFT MYSTERY (Part 4)

yesterday i had the bad idea to engage a combat with one of those 'defence system' ship.
my hull now is at 64% and i am searching something on the surface of a planet with more than the Earth gravity force. :/

Well ... i landed on a black square ... but it was night, so i made a couple of rounds with my SVR and nothing more.

Sympathies!
It's a shame the game mechanics currently don't allow us to patch the hull. I'm sure real explorers of the 32nd Century would have a repair kit; they even invented one in the 20th Century for a reusable ship capable of landing in an atmosphere (Space Shuttle)

Good to know, I was just wondering seeing as how the logs mention artefacts, and Salome mentioned that the Rift mystery and Pleiades events are linked, that a UA could trigger hyperdictions out here.

Evidently not, I'll just focus on my thruster upgrades then lol.

Ah, but they might call "the lurking evil" so worth trying, if you have video recording on & good life insurance!

Unfortunately, repair limpets require Unobtainium to create, and we all know how that turns out.

Hi to all CMDRS. My first post here. The clues says that the base is inside the crater. The diadem is in fact a circle, cyripedium is a base (like statue base), velum is something located inside.
Sorry for my bad english.

The attack on Salome's prison convy (when she was allegedly killed but no corpse found) was in early November, I think before the Rift bases? I suspect this clue of Drew's actually refers to the Rift mystery itself, I think what was referred to in one of the message logs as a "lurking evil". So I think perhaps it is likely to be hidden within some form of circular astonomical structure (unfortunately the only one I can think of is Barnard's loop which is too far away!)

Ladies and gentlemen of the community.

I present to you, the Formidine Rift Delta Settlement, found by yours truly, CMDR Avvie Rayne!

Wicked!:D Great Job & congrats! :D
....... do you know what, I'm sure I'm very near to those co-ord's! lol

So the big question now is, do all of us Rifters head to the Gap or Conflux, or stay around here and search for more stuff?
For now, I'm going to search for the other beacons & see if I can find any derelict ships, but each to there own :)

I was approaching the Delta Base, in solo mode. Blue POI appears on radar followed, 10 seconds later, by the signature of a live ship. Didn't stop cause I wanted to see the site. Is this something of importance or we can just disregard it?

All blue circle POI's so far have just been random stuff...nothing of importance. And they have all been non-persistent.

I don't get 5/6, she wrote down that weird message on the 11/11/3270... then all of a sudden eighteen days later she writes another message, as if everything is kind of normal, Saying she's heading out to an earth like world? So our next step is finding a system with this 'earth like' world.

That has to be a big flag. The person who logged note 6 isn't the same author as note 5 (or is being worked from behind).

Earth like or not too Earth like

Not sure if this has been noted before, but when I bookmarked all the outpost systems they seem to form a line going above the galactic plane? Would it be worth searching somewhat along this line?

Or after seeing her support ship destroyed, she returned to Delta camp and found it completely abandoned, everyone gone. And she filed a panic log.

Then after a few days she has accepted her fate, and is thinking more clearly.

This comes back to my 'two entangled threads' theory :)

The ship names are part of the 'original' Rift mystery, rather than the Dynasty/Exodus mystery, and they tell us that there are factions within the Empire who are sympathetic to Salome's goal of discovering and exposing the secret of the Rift.
Personally, I don't consider them to be 'directional' clues, more of a symbolic message to those of us who are searching.

The panic log may have been filed at the point of discovering that the support ship was destroyed, rather than back at base - it depends on how these messages get updated to the base server - but I agree with your interpretation of the second message.

So I take it, even if it shows a ship's live signature?

My pet theory is that we need to be looking right at the top of the galactic plane, in the EAFOTS region, for the galaxy to be "just hanging there". These Beacons systems were placed on route as rally points - ie somewhere from the ships in the fleet to rally and regroup for the last leg of the journey, and the return journey.

These journals were transmitted to and/or dropped off at the outposts from the various ships in the fleet.

Habitable world from beta site confirmed as earth like world?

There aren't any earth likes in the beacon systems, unless they're talking about an earth like world that doesn't stay in one place.

Raxxla? Does Raxxla do that?
The log is from the Delta site, not beta.

There's an Earth-like world there, going to try and reach it ... you never know.

Hmm, this is ambigious, she didn't say here (in this system)[edit]yes it did, typo in forum txt, also don't forget this log has been relayed to the delta site & is not from it.
So where she was transmitting from, who knows! :p, and who knows where 'there' is! ;), but we do finally have something concrete! We need to look for an ELW in the area.
Maybe we'll find a derelict sidewinder & another abandoned base? Or maybe we'll find an ELW with a tiny population from the crew of the Anaconda whose FSD died, & the sidewinder pilot?? :)

Ah, I see Zach is thinking along the same lines :)

Phoeniox Dfire
Could be just 1 ELW.
