Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

Based on the latest find, I don't think the power of 2 theory holds up.
It seems to me that variations on 30,30 are yielding results, not 32,32.

Small thing but the 30 latitude at least would represent 1/3 of a right-angle which still fits with the apparent obsession with 3.
Longitude is harder to justify because the prime meridian of a planet is arbitrary unless it's tidally locked. I could only put that down to the human element at FD.

Indeed. Trying to measure where the exact lines are through gaps in mounds is a challenge though.

Where does the line stop when measuring, though? In the middle of the gap in the mound? At the left side of the mound? On the right? All measurements I took were based on the centre of the gaps in the mounds - because, who knows? EDIT: And this was done with Canonn's black and white image where the centre of the middle spoke was "out" slightly because the picture wasn't directly above the mound, but of the site.

Fair enough, the Guardians aren't obsessed with 32/64 as I thought - though it was a logical assumption.

Oh well, 2 new finds in 2 days, and this new one is around 30/60 - I'm not EXACT - but I think it is pretty damn close, and much closer than a lot of other fancier theories that got fire bombed into thin air as soon as the 2nd ruin was discovered.

I like to think I was close. I just wasn't exact - (edit: it is even why I said allow for margin of error by checking within a few numbers/degrees of lat/long, but hey ho, I'm still "wrong" :p).

Oh look - No Volcanism.

Just a thought could this be a central server hub in the center of a triangular pattern on the galactic plane

edit. if so there could be one more ruin site yet to be found

"It was the morning of the 31st of January, 3303. As usual I checked that ever growing forum thread about the Ancient Ruins - and behold, a third site was found, finally! Of course I made my way as soon as possible...and now I'm sitting at work, not being able to visit the Ruins until tonight..."

Congratulations Cmdr :)
Also congratulations to the other Cmdr from yesterday!

Congrats on finding the third one CMDR Khenistry!

I posted a hypothesis a while back trying to figure out were an alien race would place their data centers assuming they wanted them to last a very long time, I speculated that they would choose low mass stars like brown dwarves and planets with no active geology. It makes me happy that so far this has held up. I'm no math wiz like some of the great people around here so that was the best I could do.
